Completely accepted that we're going out in this round. Best we can hope for is a shock smash-n-grab win at home for posterity

As good as we could have expected draw.
    Feyernoord beat this mob 3-0.

I think we will need a 2-0 lead from the first leg.

As much as I enjoyed the new league format, it is a bit annoying that we've been set up for a definite pumping whereas in previous years we'd be going into the Europa with a decent shot at going far.

Aye pretty much let's not embarrass ourselves and use this as a marker of what's needed next.

Not expecting us in the near future to be able to beat Bayern's, Barcelona, Madrid's etc, but being confident of not getting humiliated would be nice.

To be fair I watched their game against Feyenoord and I've no idea how Bayern didn't score.

The GK made a few great saves, Bayern had 80% possession and Feyenoord scored with all 3 of their shots on target.

It was basically their version of us beating Barca.

Would also say that when Villa played Bayern and beat them 1-0 they took a very defensive approach. And but for Schmeichel Villa would have had 6 off us. So it shows the level we are up against, but think we all know that anyway.

If we can get a result at home and even get a 2-0 or -3-1 defeat away I'd take that tbh.

I just don't see a scenario in which we go to Munich and survive for 90 odd mins.

The only slight chance that we have is Arry Kane, he never wins anything

On the plus side they've conceded a fair amount across their games in Dec and Jan including 7 in their last 4 games. Also lost to Mainz back in December.

On the down side, they've stuck 5 past Shakhtar, Leipzig and Hoffenheim over that period too.

Anything less than humiliation is success!
Bank our experience from this year and build on it for next season.

He wanted to go, he's been carping about it since last summer. You can't hold on to an unhappy striker, and anyways he was missing a lot of sitters.

Pretty sure we will get a good loan striker in.

Have you seen the state of the Europa League nowadays? I think our current team would skoosh it

Bayern definitely the lesser of the two evils

    - Rookie manager (although Dortmund had a rookie manager too and we know what happened there)

    - Kane who is cursed when it comes to winning silverware

    - Muller on his last legs and nothing like he used to be

    - Gnabry/Coman/Sane haven't been firing

Not mission impossible to get past them, extremely difficult, but not impossible
