Cannot fathom the mindset Rodgers had/has behind not playing the youngsters in Scotland when we’re comfortably ahead and then throwing them in last night.

Cummings loses the ball controlling it heading back towards goal almost instantly after coming on and then Murray I’m really not sure what he’s doing. Two mistakes that are basic errors at any level.

I am the first to want us to bring through the youth but what a strange time for Rodgers to play them eventually.

Cummings I think will still leave regardless of this. For all the pelters Yang gets too, Murray is only 1 year younger so I’m not sure if he gets the “young player” excuse.

I think if they manage to sell Watkins (an Arsenal fan) and Duran for a combined £150 mil that’ll go some way to helping lol.

if I was emery id have them both out the door. They’re not untouchable players and for that amount of money I’d scouted well you could get another 4 players in of similar level

 

I still cant get my head around why we let Kyogo Valle and Walsh go before the Villa game.
OK, so they could have organized their exits but just wait till after the Villa game.
All 3 would have come on ahead of Murray Cummins and Palma when the game was in the melting pot.
And it was not the dead rubber people are suggesting, a positive result would have given us a better draw and a chance of progressing and banking 11M. There is no way I can see us getting past RM or BM.

 

Rodgers would have started with kyogo and kyogo would have done nothing against villas defence. Idahs physical presence is the only reason we got back into it, him bullying their two centre halves at any option.

im assuming Rennes and our own condition was as soon as we were confirmed to be through he’d be sold. They said they were in talks for months so I’d guess ideally they wanted him January 1st but we dragged it along (rightly so). But we definitely sold him at the right time, now it’s down to the club to replace him adequately
