Me, my brother and a couple mates had this conversation after the game trying to think of one.

MJ was the closest example and even with two guys in that convo that had an irrational seething hatred for MJ, it was agreed we’d rather him over Yang as well.

Probably need to reach into the darkest of 90’s for a guy to beat him to that title.

I’m trying so hard to not hate him, it’s not his fault he’s playing and nowhere near good enough. We shouldn’t be in a position he plays at all as a club. So that’s on the club, and Rodgers, Palma on the bench behind him is a Rodgers decision. And it’s a poor one with the knowledge we’re privvy to

But silver lining lads, just how * good is it going to be Jota replacing him. Jota on his worst game, having got used to seeing Yang playing instead, we’ll label it a * 10

If its both on form (dunno what the version of Yang on form even is) then it's Johnston by a country mile. He's gone to the championship and showed he has talent.

Yang would genuinely get eaten alive down there. I can't think of many leagues where he would be a success cos I just don't know what he has to offer. Pace and decent dribbling but absolutely hee haw end product wise. Also he doesn't even know how to use his pace effectively. And when you combine it with little strength and balance its no much use.

I wouldn't say I even hate him he just doesn't seem real. Find it really hard to explain he's just there and nit really doing much...it's often like being down to 10:56:

Any of his ‘stronger’ glimpses of ability is overshadowed massively by the fact it’s Yang’s brain controlling that ability. His football IQ is the poorest I’ve seen for us, but his closest to that is Bernabei and apparently a move sorted that for him. So he has some hope. But just, he needs to go.

2 goals (strangely both headers) and 4 assists in 50 games.

I was never a Mickey Johnston fan but putting him in same breathe as Yang is disrespectful. Yang makes MJ look like a prime Ronaldinho.

Summer 23s window was horrific and each signing has his own merits to claim to be the worst of that time

MJ was/is streets ahead of what Yang will ever be, unfortunately.

Dane Murray trusted before Nawrocki tonight spoke volumes as well, and apparently he was bout £4m. He probably gets the win for the worst that window, we just don’t have to see him as much as Yang.

I can’t even think of one thing Yang can do better than MJ, other than squaring someone up 1 v 1 but he beats someone then they catch him, he passes it back, has a weak shot or hits the first man.

He’s done unfortunately, which is a shame when you hear how hard he works but is he any better than when he first came in? Not for me.

Ange apparently. Yang was worth the punt, think he won PotY, available for buttons, low as * wage. Has something we probably thought he had a brain in him to be teachable to improve upon.

The punt I don’t mind. The fact that after it’s obvious it was a shiter of one that we still * see him. Kwon was doing ok on loan was he not? Has he * it? Not good enough for us but there was talk of a small profit at least. Might just be sticking up for Ange desperately cos I like him. They’re pretty *. So was Berny though, worked out quids up.

With the returning Jota, time up for Yang and Palma, just need upgrades, both have had enough chances.

    Had enough of him now.

There was a moment he was on the right side and was a half yard in front of McGinn, all he has to do was out run McGinn, little more pace (which he should have) and/or a little strength (he was in front so just a little strength) and he was hopeless. If he got away, he was through on goal with another player running in from the left side.

That moment done it for me.
If you can't get away from McGinn in that situation, you've no chance.

See at the end of the day, we paid £2m for a project type player who likely we will recoup about half that on.

He showed flashes of something when he first came in and actually some of those data based scouting sites had him on lists of top wingers under 23 outside the big leagues like CIES Football Observatory, so I can see why we signed him.

But it’s 18 months now and he looks no better now than when he first joined. It’s time to get him out on loan with a view to selling or better yet selling if we can find a buyer.

He just doesn’t have a footballing brain, never going to make it. He looked good in the odd cameo against tired legs but when he starts he just looks lost.
