WHY THE * DID CELTIC SPEND 1 AND A HALF MILLION ON VIRGO WHEN WE COULD HAVE GOT HARTLEY FOR HALF THE PRICE, WHERE IS THE LOGIC. VIRGO IS NOT EVEN PROVEN! HE MIGHT BE ABSOLUTE *. AT LEAST HARTLEY IS PROVEN!

give virgo a chance, he got injured last season, and he is just getting back to full fitness, time will tell if he will be a decent signing

Aye it's totally mad but i think that was the value yeah. I just think with that money we could have got a few steals on the foreign market. Think Larsson?

And the fee was very high in comparison to fees of Zurawski and Boruc. It is the perfect example that players from Eastern Europe (especially Poland) are often bargain signings and are too cheap. It will change after WC in Germany, though!

Kerr whats wrong with you? Why in evey post you make you slaughter new signings? Virgo is very young and still unproven so why can you write that price was too high when he even didnt get a fair chance to prove himself in Celtic and in a couple of years he can be sold with profit. I wonder if u are a Celtic supporter becouse in every post you are so negative about Celtic players. Whats your problem?

Luck of the irish with Henrik, but how many pots of gold do u think there were at the end of the rainbow?? One. Larsson's price was just luck for wat he turned out 2 be, i doubt it we will ever see the likes of him again. and certainly not for that much money.. but hes our past and Virgo, Zurawski, Telfer, Nakamura, Camara, Du wei and Boruc are our future and it is 4 that reason that i, like all other Faithful hoops fans will get behind them and support them. not focus on negative aspects of their game :37: :celt_2:

Kerr, how can you criticise Virgo?
Strachan has seen him play loads at Brighton, as a guest of Mark McGhee, if he's half as versatile as Sutton, then £1.5M will be a steal. He's still young as well, and could be a Celtic players for years to come. I like Hartley, but he's a poor man's Petrov, he would be good cover, but he chose to sign a new contract at Hearts rather than sign for Celtic as a Bossman.
Are all your posts going to be negative and slag off Celtic players, if so, you will become an object of ridicule on this forum.

Virgo was a sensation at Brighton, check Forums from Brighton FC etc, fans thought he was superb. He won all awards going, even scored 9 goals in 15 games when an injury crisis meant they asked him to play as a striker instead of defence. Every pundit in English football was tipping him to join a big Premiership club so I would hold fire on the critcism for know. He's still a young guy and could prove to be a great value for money signing.
As for Hartley, I'd take him in a minute. Hearts were never going to sell him to Celtic, with Romanov there it's not like the old days when they had to sell, they don't need the money. Celtic realised his contract was ending soon and tried to force the issue with a crap offer. I don't believe for one minute that thay expected Hearts to accept it. It was Celtic was of telling Hartley to "make some noise" because we want you. If the player took the bait and wanted to play for us he would have asked to leave and hearts would have accepted an offer, Hartley didn't see the need or have the desire to move, so the deal was dead.

Hartley was signed a new contract at the Jambo's so you can forget about it.
