A poor 2nd half, * all depth for up top off the bench and McCowan should of been on a lot earlier.

Can confim the worst case scenario now - we play either Bayern or Real Madrid. If Liverpool or Juventus or Ac Milan had shown up today we'd be in a much better place.

Gutted. Tough second half against a good side. They obliged me with my statement earlier about them helping our chances with their moves breaking down, we just couldn't capitalise.

No shame in the result, done ourselves proud and showed we can compete, especially with more squad improvement.

    Unlucky bhoys.

Think that means either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the next phase?

I'm not going to get annoyed at that tbh, missing Maeda, Jota, Forrest and CCV and Kyogo and Valle both gone.

It essentially ends 3-2 if not for a massive * up near the end, something that doesn't happen with a more experienced player on the pitch.

Second half was a hit lacklustre but there are clear signs we have a really good team in the making, just a few more players and we'll motor on.

Worth mentioning Villa have pumped better teams than us over the last two seasons

We ended the game with Dane Murray and Daniel Cummings in the team. Palma on the wing. Starred with Yang.

In the first few minutes I couldn't believe what I was watching but fair play to the team we really showed some heart and grit. At least 3 of the goals however were really really poor. But we are in the next round and I would say Bayern should be a handy enough one.

Really, really sick of us doing this time and time again. Ludicrous individual defensive mistakes after we worked so hard to get ourselves back into the game.

The context does not matter. All that matters is the score so having a weakened team that you then make weaker by throwing on youngsters in a match that was at worst draw-able is frustrating. We have just hit another riddy away from home once again when the truth is we were bang in it.

We didnt deserve a result on second half performance - outside Reo’s shot didn’t threaten at all

It looked like he felt something when the ball was played in behind him and he was chasing back just before he came off. Hopefully nothing serious.

Tough at the end to lose 4-2.

We didn't play badly but could've done more second half. We did outstanding to come back from 2-0 down.

I mean the incessant backwards passing doesn't help.

If Murray hits that forward first time we don't concede a goal. We play the ball backwards far, far too much.
