Manchester United left-back Tyrell Malacia features on a list of Celtic loan options if they fail to land Kieran Tierney before the transfer deadline.

The Parkhead club have agreed the terms of a pre-contract deal which will see the Scotland international return to Glasgow from Arsenal in the summer

However, with Alex Valle recalled by Barcelona and sent out to Italians Como on loan, Brendan Rodgers hopes to wrap up a Tierney loan deal before the window shuts on Monday night.


Should Arsenal sell Oleksandr Zinchenko to Atletico Madrid, however, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta could retain Tierney’s services until the summer.

With Greg Taylor Celtic’s only recognised left-back, Rodgers could be forced to seek cover until Tierney’s release.

Either a LTB or an 18 month loan would be great.

A 6 month loan would tell me we've got another LB lined up alongside Tierney in summer or, more likely, Taylor has signed a new deal.
