Without Idah we do not win the league last year. Rangers would be in the champions league, busy equalising the clubs’ riches and James Tavernier would’ve been holding that coveted trophy over his head.

Without Idah we very well could’ve come up short in the champions league this season. He stood up and made the winning moment happen against Young Boys.

This is what people need to remember about Adam Idah (more the former point than the latter). He’s not hit last season’s heights again yet but what he did last season mostly off the bench was off the charts. It’s tough going as a striker when you’re judged on your numbers and yet you’re only getting 20 minutes a game.

Have a bit of faith in the big man. I’ve been critical of him as well but some of the comments I see from Celtic fans about him this season are downright disrespectful. Calling him a lump of wood and a donkey. As I said, he’s already repaid his transfer fee in spades.

Totally agree and thats what he does best right now-impact from the bench.
The fact that he did not have a pre season with us has defiantly hindered him, should have been in the states with us pre season.
He will come good but it will take time, so for now, lets go back to what works best-impact sub, hopefully that will build up his confidence for now and then he will kick on. Step by step.
That cup final goal and the assist against YBs have bought him credit in my book.

You can't categorically claim that without idah we wouldn't have won the league. There is simply no way to prove or disprove that. There is certainly an argument to be made for it but it can't be stated as a fact.

Yes, he made a valuable contribution to the outcome but it's not as black and white as that. Had we signed a better player they may have made more of a contribution in the 2nd half of the season. Even if you simply take him out of the equation then the games at hibs and Motherwell might not have panned out as they did, the game at ibrox probably finishes 2-2. Also another taker might have scored the penalty at hearts, changing the course of that game.

If we were to take it as black and white then, if ive worked this out correctly. We finished 8 points in front of the huns, take away Idahs goals denies us 6 points and gives the huns a further 2, we finish level. We had a gd of 10 over the huns, taking away his 7 league goals takes that down to 3 but increases the huns by 1. Therefore, we finish level on points but 2 goals better off and we still win the league.

He has been, to put it mildly, pretty gash this season. But last week would have been good for his confidence and now he will be first choice for the foreseeable future. Who knows....might catch that form he showed end of last season.

Really need Idah to step up and show why we spent a huge fee on him. Been here long enough, has been playing regularly and now has a chance on the biggest stage to put in a performance.
