Not a dickie bird anywhere of a bid in for Kvistgaarden from us. At least we lodged firm bids for Barry.
It was the same hype last year too with Kvistgaarden , and no bid ever materialised. I believe he is still at his team's training camp with no movement reported. I think we will end up with a loan striker.

To be fair, we just spent £11M on Engels. I don't think it's a stretch to suggest we'll break that record again in the next while. Especially if we keep banking CL money and selling players for record profits.

Can't see them settling for that and we have the money..

All transfers come with a risk, but we needn't get bogged down by £10m+ for a player, in reality that is the kind of market we should be operating in.. albeit bargains can still be scouted..

 

To be fair to him bassey is having a brilliant season at Fulham and I’m sure Ajax made money on his transfer too

All the so called ITKs more or less keep saying it'll be a loan deal for a striker. Need to wait and see. I think we've lost interest in Kvistgaarden for whatever reason. He was also one of Lawwell Jnrs finds

Does feel like Kvistgaarden isn't the one. Kinda ties in because we've bid for Jota and Barry about the same time..

Maybe Barry was the Kyogo replacement.....and if he was, then no chance we were anywhere with Kvistgaarden..

 

They didn’t, Ajax took a hit to move him on. Not a massive one.

Ajax paid Rangers a guaranteed €17-19m with add ons taking it to around €21m and a sell on based on profit. He was sold for about €16m.

Patterson deal was nowhere near the figure mentioned. I don’t think it was as low as £4m upfront but it was no more than £8m with add ons.

 

Doubt we would get the winger and this guy. If it were only one would really prefer the striker

 

Saw a guy claiming to hear 'bits and pieces' say he's the one we're after.

 

This will end up being a deadline deal if it’s going to happen.

 

This guy is a non starter at that price versus his quality and potential - it's just lazy journalism based on previous seasons links.
