    To me the biggest thing about him coming back is he was a big game player that tended to deliver when we needed him. In Ange’s CL campaign he didn’t look out of place when playing in the CL and against the likes of Leverkusen away when we narrowly lost 3-2.

    He is a very talented footballer with a good attitude. Circumstances actually worked out for him and us the first time around in terms of his move. We got a fee that we would never have got for him if he had moved in Europe, and he got a salary he was never getting in Europe. It all went pear shape in Saudi due to league rules not because he wasn’t good enough, infact it seemed when he played he done fine just that nonsense about not being in their league squad due to his team having too many foreigners.

    Anyway, we got him back he has only been at Rennes 6 months and they are a bin fire at the moment. Get him back in our team and some minutes to build his fitness up and he will be ready to go in no time.

    He probably wasn't good enough for the team in Saudi but, I mean, that's no slight on him. The * signed Benzema from Real Madrid, Fabinho from Liverpool, Kante from Chelsea and Luis Felipe from Betis, who was one of the best centre backs in La Liga at the time.

    JOTA has arrived in Glasgow to finalise his £9million return to Celtic.

    The Hoops are poised to confirm the Portuguese winger’s signing in a big-money deal from Rennes.


    Kyogo Furuhashi will go the other way in a £10m switch, which is expected to be announced over the weekend.

    Brendan Rodgers has held detailed talks with Jota over the last few days and he has agreed to a return.

    The 25-year-old left Celtic in the summer of 2023 for Al-Ittihad in a £25m deal before moving to Rennes in the summer.

    Think he'll do well to match the levels he hit last time he was here, which is no slight on him as he was phenomenal at times.

    A lot has happened, it won't be easy to just pick up from where he left off. Think it maybe next season till we see him hitting the heights consistently.

    It's exciting as * though, I canny get that image of him galloping into the huns box and chipping the keeper out my head. I've got a print of the celebration somewhere, it's getting dug out and put back up where it belongs as soon as it's announced :34:

    Rennes     winger Jota is in Glasgow to finalise his £8m return to Celtic.

    The 25-year-old was due to fly to Scotland on Thursday night, but his travel was pushed back due to Storm Éowyn.

    Jota and his representative have been at Celtic Park today meeting with the Hoops hierarchy.

    Celtic’s game against Dundee was postponed today due to storm damage to the stadium

    Deals aren't interlinked they wanted shot of jota and it's not as if we don't have the cash to do it. But if it was to fall through I will be fuming!
