My feeling is that its going to be something closer to £10m with add ons.
I think the thing that will drive up his price more than anything will be interest from German clubs (and abroad).
He is a dynamic forward, very athletic and very quick and both scores and assists. He has also shown continued improvement each season in their team.

It would be a real statement of intent from us. I dont see him as better finisher than Kyogo currently, but i do think he has more pace and more to his game and will give more dynamism to our frontline.

Rodgers indicated that we will have been working on targets since Kyogo made his wish to leave known so it another factor will also be it they perceive there to be better value for money elsewhere.

Yeah, I was actually thinking €10mil (£8.4mil) might get it done, just by adding that extra digit.

See us sitting saying not paying this and just offer that and they will take it is exactly what we hate when other teams try take our best players.

You could easily argue that the boy playing with Brondby has already been playing against a higher level of opponent than he will face in the SPL. Why should they settle for less? We always say pay the fee or * off.

It's not just the daily record reporting our interest.

I know but I think it's lazy reporting. There's nothing concrete in Denmark about it

    Celtic
are expected to make an approach for Brondby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden as they look to replace the departing Kyogo Furuhashi.

Brendan Rodgers confirmed that the club were in the market for a striker, with Kyogo set to join Rennes for £10m.

It is understood Kvistgaarden is one of the club’s main targets – having previously made enquiries about him in August 2023.

Brondby rejected a number of bids for the 22-year-old last year and it’s believed they would prefer to keep him until this summer, unless a record bid in excess of £10m came in.

As things stand, there has been no official contact between the clubs this month.

Sky in Germany reported earlier this month that Eintracht Frankfurt were also interested in Kvistgaarden.

That original Tweet that states that was from August 23. It definitely will be a priority now.

I hate it that all clubs are 'preparing' or are 'expected' to make a bid.

    * give them a call and open up negotiations.

Instead of approaching Brondby or enquiring about him just put in a * opening bid. If we keep messing around another Club will just sweep in and sign him.

I don't think Anthony Joseph has a clue what stage we are at.

Don't even see the point in him tweeting that as its no different to what was said yesterday or Thursday.

Anthony Joseph, and I can’t stress this enough, doesn’t have a clue. At the very best, he gets tidbits that are days, or in this case weeks, old.

Hopefully we can be as efficient as Rennes and get the deal done pronto.

we can’t afford to drag our heels with replacing Kyogo

It took weeks for Rennes to seal the Kyogo deal. In fact; he’s been in France for 48 hours and it’s still not announced. If that was us, our fans would be going mental moaning about us dragging it out.

It’s just the nature of transfers; they take time for an abundance of reasons. It’s not just a few hits of the space bar until the deal is sealed.

Really don't understand why people wind themselves up over this sort of thing, how many of them were reporting on kyogo and jota moving before the other day, it's not like they just made contact this week and the deals happened overnight, they don't have a scooby what contact or talks have happened between clubs, there's nobody leaking it from inside at our end anymore.
