I think he probably wants to move on now but this is definitely not the reason in my opinion.

More likely he'll have heard of some opportunities were his name has been mentioned, so he's getting itchy thinking about that. Same as last time.

Which I don't mind, by the way. I'm a big believer in the revolving door system these days. I don't think we should hope or fight for players and managers to stay and instead adapt to the fact we will have to deal with constant change. There's more success to be had in becoming experts at that than anything else.

I’ll never forget Ange for his Japanese legacy. That trio of Daizen, Kyogo and Hatate have been the building blocks for the CL team that we have turned into. To go from that horror show Covid year to where we are today is no doubt thanks to Ange who kickstarted the rebuild with some absolute diamonds. Outwith that the money some of his signings have made…exceptional management.

Aye the quality BR has had to work with compared to what Ange was handed when he walked in the door…

What's the bets he's earned more money for his family in 2 years at Spurs than he has in all previous jobs combined, and if not then probably not a million miles off it. That's why i never begrudged his Celtic exit. He's secured his family's future.

Can’t see it as much as I’d love to see it again.

I’ve been saying for weeks I don’t think Jota would want to revisit and leave it as good memories and apparently I’m wrong there. But I’d stick my neck out again and say, Ange would absolutely not want to revisit his time here either.

Ange at Spurs though, if he gets signings in and backed before the windows out he’s going to be safe and turn it around. If the window shuts without it, he’s gone very shortly afterwards

If he does get binned at Spurs I don't think he'll be out of work that long, there are plenty of decent level teams around europe without the spoiled epl prima donna players and delusional/entitled fanbases that would love to have a manager with a clear attacking philosphy come in and give them a kick up the *, he'd have a new club by the summer.

His family's future was more than secure before he ever went to Spurs, mate.

Xavi will leave Leverkusen at the end of the season I think. Comes my mind as a club that would happily employ him and to challange Bayern sounds like something Ange could like.

Archie gray is a central midfielder, his downfall is his versatility and Ange has then played him in other positions to fill injury vacancies. Bergvall has been excellent so not sure if you’ve watched many spurs games mate, also his goal against Liverpool in the semi so far to give them the advantage alone is something of note

Is crazy though imagine we went a whole season without carter vickers and trusty haha and had to play scales and Engels there (as basically that’s what they’ve done in signing Archie gray and playing him at centre half recently) :67:

To be fair I think Newcastle genuinely are a big club, spurs not so much

Someone said further back in the thread but Ajax would suit him to a tee and they’re really struggling right now

Anyone begrudging him that sort of move isn’t thinking it through, imo.

This isn’t a man with an extensive professional playing career to set him up financially. He’s probably had to work 10x as hard, and be significantly better, than other coaches and managers who would’ve been given opportunities ahead of him based on their reputation or connections.

Without even going to the obvious allure of managing a big club in the CL and Europe, or being a trailblazer for Aussie managers, he’s a near 60 year old man who has set himself and his family up for life by signing a deal with Spurs.

IMO it's making the most of your one short life in whatever way is meaningful for you as an individual. For some people, that will be money. I'd be astonished if that was the case for Ange, though.
