    Why wouldn't we sign another one when we already had 5 on the books?

    Also, Cummings doesn't even come into the equation.

    People need to calm themselves a bit here. There's plenty time left in the window and if you genuinely believe the club have allowed this to happen overnight with absolutely no plan then I dunno what to say.

    Rodgers would be going as well, were that the case. He'd have known about this yesterday and seemed relatively calm to me.

    Maeda cannot do what Brendan wants from a striker. Last time Maeda played as a striker was for Japan, and their manager operates on as little possession as possible. Maeda's sole task is to be a pest with his defensive work and pace, in Moriyasu's setup.

    If Rodgers was that desperate to play Maeda as a striker we'd have seen it before now. Regardless of Idah and Kyogo being here.

    The fact he saw him only as a third choice last resort should tell people that he won't be our no1.

    Putting him there also doesn't solve the problems we have with kyogo

    1. Poor hold up and touch, inconsistency on the ball
    2. Erratic finishing

    You also then lose out on what he gives you as a winger and it also defeats the purpose of strengthening the left side as we are left again looking for another winger.

    To me people are just panicking and assuming the club are resorting to type and cashing in on an asset and not replacing them. I am quite confident those days are gone.

    Jota hurt. But other than that, it's what happens now. I'm actually just happy we got to see this guy in his prime for 3.5 years and his time was a huge success.

    I think it's time for a shake up and trust the club to make the right move..

    Been resigned to this for a while, obvious in the summer when he changed agents and that mad man city rumour was floated getting his name out there that he was gearing up for a move, then that mental mls * up earlier this month made it pretty clear other teams had been in contact for him, it definitely hasn't come out of nowhere or happened overnight like some keep saying, just nothing was officially going to progress until after our euro qualification was settled.
