    Massive blow, Essien is possibly the most complete footballer in the Premiership, can do absolutely everything.

    Totally agree about his ability, but he's an animal at times. His tackle against Liverpool? sticks in my mind, when he went right over the ball intentionally.

    Similar to the tackle on Brown against Benfica.

    Great player. Think Chelcsea were hoping on him coming back and playing Def Mid to compete their midfield. Although they should be able to cope ok without him until they have to play people like Man Utd/Arsenal/Liverpool.

    couldnt agree more, great player but is reckless at times, sore blow for chelsea to take but i dont like them. so get it rite up them

    One my favourite players. Everytime I see Chelsea play I think of his goal against Arsenal.

    Cracking player but I dont think it will mean Chelsea will drop alot of points like the other bhoys to be honest they still have.... Ballack, Lampard, Deco, Mikel, J.Cole, Malouda and Kalou.
