    I agree.

If we can get Kvistgaarden in this window and get £10m for Kyogo I think we'd do that.

Will see what happens. Regardless, he's gone in the summer.

Kyogo will feast off the crosses that KT can deliver.

I'd keep til Summer then go from there (in an ideal world, we would sell Idah). Bring Kvistgaarden in now if we can or get a deal agreed for the Summer window if that's at all possible

I'd rather keep Kyogo, sign the Danish boy and cut our loses on Idah but if it's Kyogo instigating the move let him go, remember hanging onto Christie, Ajer and French Eddy

£10m for a 30 year old that was at his best for us 2 years ago, if the rumours of the fee is correct, it’s more likely us pushing him to agree to that I think.

MLS move I don’t think the wages he’d be offered there is something that would blow his wage at us out the water after his extension start of last season.

Idah we won’t cut our losses on either, Rodgers pushed for him as his target for us to overpay to get him here. Rodgers wanted him, pushed for him over and above what we would expect to pay when he came on loan. He’ll back Idah.

French Eddy that season btw, 23 in 36 and 10 assists, Ajer was PotY (granted up until we played AC Milan and Maldini talked about him he was *), Christie out of position and told shoot on sight. We slaughtered him for that, but it was the tactics he got told off the manager. Ange took over, and Christie very nearly stayed because he was electric in that small glimpse him under Ange. He was 3rd top assists for us that season, sold in August btw.

We promised and refused Eddy and Ajer moves. They were still pros tho. Christie needed the right management and system for him, Ange was. But thats my worry, Kyogo and BR isn’t the mix to get the best out each other. And he’s too good for Rodgers not to play. And with £10m for his age kn the table, he’ll go

£10 m for kyogo is nowhere near his value to us even at 30 .he is as fit as a fiddle and will probably be every bit as good in 5 years time ,you cant coach his instinct in the final 3rd .we need to sign players capable of getting the ball to him asap .get him a new contract (and pass him the * ball)

I agree, the only way we should be moving him on is if he wants to leave himself. Some players are worth letting their contracts run down . If he's happy here, then I'd have him until he retires

That Rennes rumor is interesting, supposedly been in long term talks. He's way better than that team...hope Celtic not thinking like accountants here, fan favourite who still plays well after all these Seasons. No brainier to keep!

Happy to see him go in the summer. We've had him at his peak years and I've always had the impression that he's not really a Rodgers striker, so its to Kyogo's credit that Rodgers has kept him as first choice.

He changed his agents in the summer which usually indicates a player wants a move. Keep him until the summer and then let him go.

Rennes are very interested in Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi and discussions have been ongoing for some time between the parties over the 29-year-old Japan international. (Ouest-France), external

Reported interest from Rennes in Kyogo Furuhashi opens up the intriguing possibility of a player-plus-cash deal involving Jota, with the former Celtic winger out of favour with the French club.

He clearly wants to move on and best wishes to the guy. Hopefully the champions league is enough to convince him to stay until the end of the season as trying to replace key players in January is a real challenge. 10m feels pretty fair to be honest.

As long as we get a suitable replacement in for him (Idah is not going to be the answer) then fine. Vast majority of players are employees and assets designed to serve a purpose. Very few are more than that (Brown, McGregor and Forrest in recent seasons).

He's been great for us and if he leaves wish him all the best.

Thanks I just assumed it was done at the end of January. Well that does certainly open the door to a Kyogo move after the Aston Villa game as a possibility. Although I would think still he only gets sold in this window or even to MLS later if we have got a new striker in ourselves.

Rennes aren't doing so great this season. Hoping this goes nowhere.

    This is what I'm saying.

He's getting chances created for him and isn't taking them. This whole "Rodgers style doesn't give him chances" is a bit of a myth at times.

Maybe a big part of this is actually on the player? He's missed a good chance in the last 3 games off the top of my head. Finishing has been really poor for some time.

That chance he missed was basically Kyogo in a nutshell, brilliant movement to get in behind then puts it wide when it should’ve been * easy to just roll into the corner. He wasn’t the only one guilty tonight but we quite simply can’t afford to be that wasteful midweek, it’s becoming a huge issue now cause we’re playing some good stuff but not killing teams off and when we step up a level it’ll cost us majorly
