That was a cracking bit of play but Maeda flashed a very similar ball across early in the first half and Kyogo failed to get in there.

Kyogo’s finishing this season with the odd exception has been really poor, again tonight where he should be slotting the one away he got put in 1 v1 with the keeper and puts it wide on his stronger foot.

I’ve not seen them but I’d not expect us to get the same amount of chances we created tonight and last Tuesday. The finishing needs to be far far better.

Its so true though . In fairness we had quite a few greats deliveries into the box. Idah and Maeda too as well as Kyogo. We were just poor in front of goal tonight.

He is so predictable. Always has an excuse. Its never his or his teams fault. He should be just thankful that we were poor in front of goal tonight as otherwise he would have taken a real beating.

I think people are giving Kilmarnock far too much credit, yeah they scored but the amount of chances given away was mental.

OK a wins a win however, we are looking very ordinary just now and have lost the impetus we had right up until we beat Leipzig and destroyed Aberdeen. I don't know if it's fatigue or what but something needs to be done to correct it or we are going to see loads of games like we have over the next coming months.

A win's a win. But we seem to have gone stale and not clinical enough.
But we really need an injection of new blood this transfer window, and snappish.

Kilmarnock were as bad as I've seen from any team in Scotland this season that first half. They were standing off, leaving huge gaps, not pressing or organised in a shape whatsoever.

How the * we didn't put that game to bed by HT is mental. Such wasteful play in front of goal. Need to get the shooting practice on the go ahead of Wednesday.

Did I hear Killie had a 8 day break from last game?

It would be nice to get a home tie to one of the lower league teams to help calm down our mental run of fixtures.

This tie comes after our first free midweek since the week after the cup final so in something like 7 weeks without a game. I think it’s the 8th or 9th of February. Also if we make the CL knockout that will follow the next midweek 11th or 12th and the following midweek. We then also play Aberdeen midweek at home in the league so will only get a free midweek and on to another 3 weeks of 3 games a week.

We rarely ever get in behind domestic opposition as much as we did in this game.

Only other game I remember is the Aberdeen home game the 2-2.

Both games we were waltzing through their midfields and defences with chances to score 4/5/6/7 goals and barely won one of the two games.

I’m guilty of a moan from time to time but Rodgers can’t do anything about players not being able to take their chances. Should of been out of sight long before they scored

Sorry every 8 days, we would be likely

Saturday 8th Scottish cup 5th round
CL play off leg1 (if we make it) 11th or 12th
    DUTD (h) league 15th
    CL playoff leg 2 18th or 19th
    Hibs (a) league 22nd
    Aberdeen (h) league 26th
St Mirren (a) league 1st March

It would still be another 7 games in 21 days stretch.

If as a team we were enjoying our football i don't think the games would look like they do

Obviously playing 3 games every 8 days or so for months can be tiring physically and mentally but I don't think as a club were doing enough to keep the players minds off the fatigue of it all if you know what mean.

It's football their getting paid handsomely to do something they love it shouldn't be a chore to watch.

I don't know if it's Rodgers being a boring * as manager of or the fact we've actually only got a small amount of players that are good enough to actually play but we should be playing freer and with a smile on our faces, we as fans would give anything to be Celtic footballer players

Seeing people saying we were stale, slow, fatigued etc... I just really can't agree.

I honestly think people base their opinion purely on the score. We only won by 1 goal so it was a slog and hard to watch. But if we had played the exact same way except Kuhn x2, Kyogo and Hatate all scored and we won 6-1 the same people would have been saying we were brilliant and back to our best

Yep I agree. Really surprised by the amount of negative posts on that performance. Finishing aside, I thought we were excellent.
