I don't think he was up to much, bit weak and slack defensively.
If true, that is another one Taylor has seen off.

Would tell me Tierney is close.

Does leave us a bit short at LB for the final 2 group games.

I liked Valle, good luck to him.

Disappointed at this, but not surprised. He never seemed to fully immerse himself at the club.

Definitely think Rodgers should have played him more though. I'd have taken him all day as Tierney's understudy.

Tierney must be close. Barca said that we have the final say on what happens. We wouldn't have agreed to let him go without not having a replacement.

Tbh I don’t think we were the right club for him. Not a bad player but for me KT and Taylor probably the best combination.

Can’t understand why Rodgers didn’t play him more. No wonder he looks sulky.

Is our plan to bring in Tierney and then have Matthew Anderson 2nd choice by all accounts been good on his loans in Austria

I know this is now off topic from Valle (who id have liked to have seen here next season in some form as well), but I imagine you may be a little correct in the 2nd choice.

As good as the experience of Taylor and KT would be, I don't see us paying Taylor what would in essence be a first team player wage at £20-25k while also paying KT what would probably be the second highest, if not equal to CalMac.
Would be a massive usage of wages, with neither KT or Taylor having a sell on value really.

Knowing the player had no buy option and parent club counted on him, there was no real option he’d continue at Celtic - that certainly has to weigh in on a manager

Of course it begs the question of why bringing him in anyway. Tierney will have long-term potential so natural to take this option and for Alex, Sèrie A will help sharpen the defensive side of his game

Really good player, wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if he gets a lot of games for Barca in the future.

Really rate him but without the option to buy it was always unlikely he was ever ending up here long term tbh, can only assume if we do agree to cutting the loan short it means KT will be coming in now which for me is a huge upgrade on either Taylor or Valle.

Don’t doubt he’ll go on to have a fantastic career but it makes sense tbh.

Thought he looked better in Europe than he did domestically. He was decent enough but I expected him to be better in all honesty.

Suspect Barca * off at his lack of game time here.

Thought he was very average if I’m honest, never understood when people would rave about him. Touch and passing was brutal coming from La Masia.

Another GT replacement bites the dust.

    He was appalling in Europe!

The hatred for Taylor is so bad that folks would take anyone but him.

Valle showed some flashes but he can’t defend for toffee, wayward forward passing and I simply don’t think he can hack the grind of Scottish football.

He may well turn out to be very good in another more technical league somewhere.

If he goes I wish him well, but a strange loan signing with no option to buy or extend loan.

He has had plenty of opportunities and it doesn’t seem to suit his playing style.

Obvious answer to that question, we got a loan in to have 2 left backs as Taylor could extend his deal and we were confident KT would join in the summer at the latest.

I personally think that would be a huge risk. We know the injury risks with KT and Anderson has played single figures in the Austrian second tier.
