Two I often say, but not sure what a Hark is (in this context) or a wheest.

A lot is dependant on your location.

Auld language is different in Glasgow than it is in Edinburgh. I live right in between so I hear a lot of both

In Edinburgh they use a lot of romani words. I don't know why but they do....

    Barry - Good
    Shan - Bad
Gadje or Chavy - young man
    Mort - a woman
    Raj - going mental
Peeves - Drinks in a pub
    Sheckles- money

There's more aswell. None would be heard in Glasgow. But it's auld language in Edinburgh

My wife is from Govan, I'm an East End boy, born and bred. When we were first together, I'd say something that she'd never heard of. She used to say; "Is that an East End saying?" I always thought language was the same all over Glasgow.
A few years ago, we went to a funeral in Govan. We offered to give an old neighbour my wife knew a ride back to Govan Cross. I'd never met the woman before. After a few minutes, she asked me if I was an East Ender. When I said I was, she said she could tell my my accent. I didn't know I had an accent, well not in Glasgow
