I was delighted to see my first Peregrine of the year yesterday morning. A fine * female.

During the Festive season one misty morning I was delighted to come across a green woodpecker feeding on the ground. Also on my local patch during the festive time I saw a hawfinch and a red kite.

Well I have woken up to a fair amount of snow , the light is good and the wind has completely dropped so a good chance of finding some cool wildlife on my local patch today. Should at least see some cool animal tracks and birds busy feeding.

My Boxer Ruby Roo is not A One at the moment but she loves snow that that will cheer her up. :49:

My Wildlife walking partner in crime Ruby Roo the 8 year old 9 month Boxer is very ill.

After bravely fighting off one cancer another one was hiding and struck unseen

She could go at any time. Could now be days or weeks. I am devastated. She has been robbed of at least 2 more years on this planet. Mother Nature has screwed canines, they deserve to have at last double their average life span. They are so loving and far better than any many a human.

Every day I woken up with Ruby Roo in my life is like winning a million pounds daily. And her last days will be just as special. She managed a really good walk today with my nephew and her Lurcher cousin Basil.

I love her so so much and she loves me so so much.

A few from the morning walk, this time of year is great for small bird photos, the canopy of leaves is long gone allowing light into the forest, the birds are also hungry and tend to come a bit closer when a small bribe of birdseed and peanuts is offered.
