Here's the thing, it was his decision and at the end of the day that's all that matters.

So many footballers get injured and crocked out of the game - mant never get close to the career Rogic has - or age overtakes them and one way or another are forced out of the game. Some end up with a lifetime on hobbled knees or later in life brain issues thatr arer well publicized now from the repeated heading etc. And Rogic did have a few injuries along the way as well, but that is completely incidental, but it is something by making the deicsion he has now will avoid that? But that is speculation.

Rogic made the decision that is right for him and so far as he and they are concerned, is the right one for his family. Whether its purely for his family, and while no doubt has sufficient to support his family for life, no doubt he will continue working in some capacity but at the level he wants at a time when and what suits his lifestyle.

Mick Taylor quit the Rolling Stones in the mid 70's at the height of their popularity. He could've kept playing with them for the next 50 years, but chose not to because of the lifestyle of groupies and drugs he wanted away from (and admittedly not getting the credit that was due him such as songwriting credits etc was part of that also). Didn't mean he gave up playing the guitar, but that was a choice he made and in any interview I've ever listened to ro read, I don't think he has ever expressed any regrets of that decision and think even so far as to say if he could go back in time he'd make the same decision. Ironically, the Stones missed him more than he missed the Stones, but I digress...

I know it's different times, but walking away from being a member of arguably the biggest act in the world at the time and with all the fame and fortunes that would go with that for the last 50 years, because it was what fits for Taylor, so why is it so hard to understand and respect Rogic's decision?

I don't think all footballers love their job either, I'm sure many do. To many it is nothing more than a job though. You get injuries and you will be playing hurt often and legs will feel saw a lot. You also do a lot of traveling especially with teams often playing 2 times a week.

Was watching old highlights and his goal to bring us to 1-1 at Ibrox in the 3-2 Edouard game is one of the most underrated goals ever.

It was a moment of sheer quality from a player they oozed quality when in full flow like he was then.
