Yeah same, he still hit 20+ goals/assists last season even though he isn't a great fit in our system. If we can't get a good fee (at least what we paid plus a sell on) now I'd be tempted to do similar to what we've done with Bernie (loan, no option) as it's obvious he's a good player.

I get that Rodgers has probably been picking Yang to see if he would step up but Palma's numbers are on another planet compared to Yang.

Several days ago we reported that Rayo Vallecano had shown interest in the situation of the Honduran footballer. The "franja" has already launched an offer to the Scottish club.



The Vallecas club has made a loan offer with an option to buy for €2.5M .



The footballer has already given the green light, now the agreement between the clubs is needed .



Since there are several teams that are also interested, the Glasgow team is considering which is the best alternative for the Honduran.



The Honduran has returned to play with Celtic, playing 23 minutes in 2 games

 

If it’s a loan I would not be agreeing a fee up front. If permanent I would want our money back £3.5m.

 

Let him go on loan, but dont insert a fee to buy, if he smashes it then we will get more.

Rayo Vallecano have opened talks over a loan move for Celtic winger Luis Palma.

And the Spanish club want a purchase option allowing them to buy the Honduran international for £2.1million


Brendan Rodgers is narrowing down the search for a new left winger this month.

And, despite appearing as a second-half substitute in Celtic’s 2-0 win over Dundee United on Wednesday night, the 24-year-old has slipped down the pecking order and wants to try his luck elsewhere.

Linked with clubs in MLS, Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo claim Vallecano have already secured Palma’s agreement. They will now enter negotiations with Celtic in a quest to finalise a deal

Only played 131 minutes more than Yang but had 15 more goals and assists

 

Must have someone lined up to come in if that's the case.

 

Agreed no way we should be letting Palma go for anything less then at least what we paid for him. Beyond that as last night showed no way can we let him go right now unless we have a new winger signed as replacement. Personally I rate Palma as a decent player just not one that suits how Rodgers wants to play and I think we should be holding out for a better deal where we can actually make some kind of profit.

The LaLiga side want to sign the Honduras international on loan, with an option to buy.

Sky Sports News understands that Celtic are reluctant to let Palma leave at this stage of the window, but are willing to listen to offers.

Celtic currently have winger James Forrest out injured for a month and are light in that department.

They are in the market for a winger in this window, but cannot register new signings for the Champions League league phase.

There’s surely no way we’ll let him away with a fee that low agreed. He’s not the answer and we really need to shift him but there’s no need to essentially give him away. A loan move to put him in the shop window and then we’d at the very least get our money back.
