I'm more concerned about the six goals we have shipped to the Huns in two games tbh.
    Needs looked into.

And since then we’ve only conceded another 2. YB have conceded 22 in 6 games, whilst only scoring 3. I’m unsure how anyone can think we will struggle to get much out the game at home to them.

Would like to see some more LW links popping up, only really had a brief one on Banzouma Toure and that came from a really unreliable source.

Would really like Tierney in this window but I have a feeling that's one for the Summer, but I really hope we get him in as I think he'll make a difference in the CL (provided we do the job against Young Boys)

Yeah, they are sat 9th in the league, and not even a particularly good league. Brugge are 1pt off the top of a far better league. The only advantage they will have is being fresh as they get a month break.

The one thing Young Boys have is size and physicality, they are a big side with good pace.

They have been misfiring all season but they have had a break, time with their coaching staff and will be a lot fresher than us coming off this long run of fixtures. I think we will need to be tight at it to win this game regardless of their form to date this season.

Plus they will have had plenty of time to study us, watch the bin fire at Ibrox and likely set up to do something similar to us. It is on us to turn up and play well.

Hypothetically if they try and copy the way the Huns played we should be able to counter that pretty comfortably if we anticipate it.

That’s the problem they have if they do that. They essentially have to set up to counter us and risk us anticipating that and playing round it.

If we failed to deal with it then it would be completely on us.

Hypothetically, yes but we played them literally two weeks before that thumping and they played exactly the same way in both games. I actually think the only difference was our performance level between the two games, rather than anything they did. The big problem we have is we didn’t adapt at all.

In addition, I am scarred from the Bodo/Glimt experience, of a team being in cold storage, with only one fixture before playing us to focus on and plenty of time to prep and come up with a game plan. That night they knew everything we would try and do before we even did and how to hurt us. Different teams I know and in different form but it haunts me how poor we were that night against a decent team.

Essentially, all I am saying is despite their poor form pre their break and in the CL so far I think this game is far from a certainty and that I think we need to find a way to lift our level for it to get the result. The players need to be motivated for the game like they were vs Atalanta and Leipzig and not be overly cautious like they were against Brugge and a heavily depleted Zagreb.

Again Brugge are a better side than YB but I doubt YB will be any worse than Zagreb were and we struggled to break them down and could have lost it on the counter near the end.

We have the capability to do it and should be able to deliver but we will have to play well, it isn’t turning up against St Mirren like on Sunday and doing enough, they will have far better players than what we typically face week on week here.

    Yeah I agree.

I honestly think we just didn't have time to prepare for the second Hun game - but you can see the flip side of that. The Huns focused so much on how they were going to play against us they dropped points in 3 games around that fixture.

My hope is YB try to copy what the Huns do because I think if Rodgers anticipates that I feel it's an easy tactic to counter, which I think he will also show when he plays the Huns next.

But generally I agree with the Bodo/Glimt example. In my opinion our team is exhausted right now, coaches and players, mentally and physically. The lack of a break over this period is hurting us.

I agree particularly with the last bit. I think we are running on empty a little in certain areas of the team. In particular the wings and full back positions, possibly McGregor too.

I had hoped we would have signed a winger by this so Kuhn and Maeda could have been rotated before the CL game and given a chance to come into that game having at least had a midweek off. Especially after Forrest got injured, I had hoped we could have had someone ready to come in.

I also agree with others though when they say the fact there are still two Euro fixtures before the end of the window is making it even more likely business won’t be done right too the end which is less than ideal.

We need two wingers. Yang and Palma not good enough for our squad

Our midfield/wingers are very tidy but a bit predictable, we need a maverick in there who will do the unexpected to unlock SPL defences more, even if they don't play in Europe that much
