I’d have thought if anything we’ll try get him in on a cut price this month rather than a loan deal and a pre contract. I’d imagine arsenal would rather just get him off the books this month and if he signed a pre contract here no one else would take him until the end of the season surely.

It’s between £2.5-3m, I would imagine a deal could be done around us paying £1.5m to take him now or via a loan fee.

 

No point in negotiating with Arsenal before he's signed a pre-contract.

 

He’s due about £2.75m from Arsenal before his contract runs out, plus bonuses dependent on league position. So it’s in Tierney’s interest for it to be a loan, unless Arsenal change their stance and are happy to pay him the balance of his contract and let him walk this month.
