For a guy who supposedly grew up steeped in our history he should fully understand why the fans groan when certain players continually pass it backwards when drawing 0 - 0 at home with st mirren.

After 60/70minutes maybe aye. No in the first half of a game though, which our fans are guilty of.

His ego is probably still dented after being schooled by the baldy Belgian clown

Yeah they are at times but to be fair, despite score lines over last 3 home games the football hasn't been great to watch particularly in 1st half. Add to that majority of fans are still extremely pissee off at what we seen on Thursday then it wasn't a suprise today.

We've played some great stuff this season but we've definitely hit a bit of a dip, it may just be the number of games catching up on us. But we are starting to slowly drift back towards that negative as * horseshoe * we seen for large parts of last season and the season he * off to Leicester. Dunno if he's tweaked stuff tactically since getting bit of a run around of brugge but performances have dipped since then.

I dont think its justified at all.

I obviously wasnt at the game living in Asia, but my cousin told me nobody was booing, nobody was going ape *, just the usual groans and moans from football fans when they dont like what they see.

Youd think given his history in the epl, hed be able to brush off a bit of in-game discontent from the ppl who pay his wages.

Secondly, and more importantly, it looks like classic deflection. Spitting the dummy. Tossing his toys out if the pram. Stamping his feet and saying "i know better".

Hes quite rightly being criticised for his set up and the teams performance against sevco, and this all sounds very defensive to me. Instead of taking it on the chin hes bleeting about robots, explaining tactics and having a pop at fans, TWICE if you count the bizarre accusation of disrespect against Greg Taylor.

The vast majority of fans have, and i choose this word carefully, "forgiven" him for dumping us half way through the season for an epl gig, hes doing well in the table and on course for a treble, so he might wanna wind his neck in before more fickle minded fans start questioning his "loyalty" again.

And yes I include myself in that lol.

The team has reacted and polished off St Mirren. We regained a few steps in the table, the window is coming up and he'll most likely get backing again, hes on course for more trophies.

He should shut the * up and get on with it.

The fans pay for the club to function so the fans get to decide how they want the * team to play. The rat needs to remember that and wind the neck in a bit.

Hes missing a lot of context in his criticism of the fans.

The biggest groan I heard was at the 30 minute mark and honestly it was deserved.
We're at celtic Park and after 30 minutes of play we had had one single headed shot at goal, of course fan's are going to be frustrated, especially after a disgraceful Derby defeat where we only had 3 shots in the entire * game.

Why have we stopped shooting at the 18 yard line, the place where calmac has 6 goals this season.

Can we please for once punt a free kick in the opponents half into their actual * box instead of a short pass back into our own half.

So yeah the problem is simply not doing enough with the ball, how many of kyogos runs are ignored by the team fir "safe' pass, too many.

FFS Brenden we are only singing his name but you are signing Tierney and practically saying to Taylor your pish and not up to the job especially in the champions league so that no disrespecting Taylor some reporter should say that to him and think he's in a bad mood still after what happened on Thursday.

Tbf he was asked specifically about the Tierney chants, I thought he brought it up himself.

I said a couple of weeks ago that we were slipping back into the style of early last season that was horrible to watch. It's clear that we've been passing backwards more often again.
I can understand if that's the way BR wants us to play, and his reasons for doing so, but fans have every right to be annoyed.
Personally, I find it annoying to watch.
The 2nd part of last season, and early this season we played more on the front foot, and it was good to watch, but there are definite signs that we are going back to Rodgers' initial style.

Thing is, nobody cares if we pass back because we have no options. It's the fact everyone and there blind gran can see the space out on the wing further forward to pass to, but we take the easy safe pass back option. Sure if there's no option, pass back the fans actually clap. Pass th * forward and try commit a man ffs.

Probably jealous that they've sang the KT song and not his own. * all to do with Taylor, just his bruised ego getting the better of him in those comments.

He’s so far off it with the Tierney/Taylor comments. Really bizarre but we all need to move on from it now and back the team.
After Thursdays gutless performance Rodgers should have seen that there would be a few moans and groans if we didn’t come out the traps flying yesterday. Maybe the team are under appreciated at times I’m not denying that but like others have said we’ve regressed back into slow and turgid football which is not what us fans want to see constantly. Recycling possession is absolutely fine and we would rather have the ball than not but it’s the lack of bravery on the ball which is the most concerning at the moment.
Still loving this team and the season!

It could be argued that his pursuit in trying to sign KT is a sign of disrespect to GT.

See he's trending on twitter this morning. Only for his outburst, which was totally needless. I hope to see some back tracking here come his next press conference.

I don’t see any issues with the groans. For weeks now we have been very passive, way too slow in our passing and not getting the ball forward quick enough.
It’s been like that since Club Brugge. We should really be already qualified as we could easily have taken 6 pts from Club Brugge and Dinamo Zagreb.
The cup final we were so * and kept playing sideways and backwards until we got caught out but we got away with it. Last Thursday was the worst derby performance I have seen in my 30+ years of watching Celtic. Of course we were worried when at home against St Mirren we started passing backwards when there was an opportunity to cross the ball into the box. Keep in mind we have Idah playing instead of Kyogo and I don’t understand why we play exactly the same style with Idah as we do with Kyogo. Always trying to break defences and play through them. Just like the derby why do we insist on playing out every time especially when we are under the cosh.

This is not me having a dig at Brendan. I do trust the team and manager. We have made progress since Brendan took over from Ange. But is it a crime for fans to demand more from the team? That’s where I disagree.
