Hope so but surely going by his comments….that bringing someone in and immediately benching Taylor would be disrespecting him?

We are heading into our transition year again...don't expect kuhn, kyogo to be here next season. Signings now have to count

I think Kyogo, Hatate, Taylor, and maybe one other will leave in Summer

Have a feeling we get another year out of Kuhn though, purely because of what he and his agent have said. Made it very clear they don’t want to rush a move or leave too early as he’s finally hit form in his career. 1 more season then down to England or a top team in Germany, I reckon

13pts clear, League Cup in the bag, overtaking Deadcheats trophy hall and CL progression a real possibility..

Yet, I feel we need a couple of new signings to 'lift' the place.. :56:

On current form I think we struggle to get much from the YB/Villa fixtures.

If we do manage to qualify for the play off round though, a bit of ambition this month wouldn't go amiss.

It's obvious this squad needs a major lift. 3 quality signings would massively help our chances of qualifying for the last 16.

The club should be doing everything in its power to make that happen.

    Tierney
    Sanches
    Touré
    Kvistgaarden

3 of those would be immense. A proper number 6 would do wonders for us too, but we know it's never a priority.

Certainly not as big a rush as in the summer but would be good to have 1 or 2 before the Young Boys game as really it's these games that we try and sell players on.

Be good to give new players some game time before the game.

What have you seen from YB to reach this conclusion?

We definitely do. Maybe not to lift us but the squad in general still needs work.

But it's mental when you say it like that.

Canny see us doing a great deal of business this month tbh, given our current position.

I'm thinking 2 possibly 3, long as we get the right players I'd be ok with that.

Haha something made me think we could add 2 player into the squad but obviously that would be for the next stages.

If it's KT and a winger only, it feels like one of those windows we will reflect on thinking we should have done more, and were capable of doing more.

Really starting to worry about McGregor and Kyogo given how key they were before, feels like the perfect risk-free time to invest and bed people in rather than hoping it all comes together at the start of a fresh campaign.

Be forward thinking for once Celtic. Prevention always better than cure.

Come on you Bhoys in Green
Would love a destroyer or a number 6 like Onyedika at Brugge who ran the show versus us. I feel like we're a proper number 6, a good LW plus KT & a CF like Kvistgardeen from being a very decent European outfit.

Club is in a good position domestically. League is all but won. So wouldnt be surprised its a quiet window as theres not the same urgency than if we were in a title scrap. Any signings made should ideally be with a view of bringing immediate quality for a push in Europe. Not convinced the board are going to sanction that kind of signing in Jan as they will probably just view champions league knock out football as a free hit.

Can see there being more emphasis on succession planning for Summer business. Theres a few players who may be coming to the end of their cycle at Celtic (Kyogo, Hatate potentially) that would need replacement in Summer. Theres a couple of guys that I imagine we will start getting bids for and may have to consider whether to fend off or sell (CCV and Kuhn potentially). Then theres a bunch of guys we prob need to get off the books as well (Nawrocki, Lagerbielke, Welsh, Holm, Palma etc) and Taylor who is still pending a decision. So with a lot of moving parts I dont think the board will be rushing to being in further signings in Jan as I think they will look at it as being mission accomplished already for this season with potentially plenty of planning needed for Summer.

We can change 3 I believe. Dane Murray doesn't count due to his age though,

Don't remember so. We signed important players in 21-22 but no big spends.

I think the view is it's expensive unless signing from leagues that play through the summer. But the advantage is you give players settling in for the next season.
