Think that greyish? one they used at Feyenoord and the friendly with Ayr last week is * horrendous. Must be hard to pick out against the background of the crowd

Ange's second season at us is probably my favourite season to watch as a Celtic fan, I enjoyed it more than the Invincible season.

That season almost had everything. Treble, beautiful football and a squad full of very likeable players, pumped the huns and it put us fully on top of the huns, Europe was the only downside. The feel good factor was fully back.

Too young to fully remember the O'Neill years otherwise they'd come close.

Preferred his first. Few seasons have exceeded expectations like that one, and across all aspects of the club: style of football, recruitment, using homegrown (wasn't really a choice but...), and just sheer excitement about what each game might bring.

Also, got more defensive/predictable that second season for me.

For me it would probably take a European trophy win to top the Invincible Treble (what an achievement btw) but Ange is my favourite Celtic manager in terms of style of football.

Even tho we won the treble in his 2nd season theres just something about that first season under Ange, chaotic as * at the start to then building ourselves into contenders and then blowing the huns away and never looking back, from what he inherited in the summer its actually mental looking back.

    Agreed.

When we smashed them 3-0 under the lights at Parkhead to overtake them after chasing them down through some tough months with injuries etc it was just so satisfying - to go on and win the league after Ange was ridiculed and us being a mess the season previous felt amazing.

Today’s Hun game - and at least half of our CL matches so far - have highlighted how badly our central midfield needs to evolve.

For the next handful of games, I’d play a midfield 3 of:
    ————— Engels —————
    — Bernardo — McCowan* —

Look to punt Hatate and buy a DM this month; possibly a 10 type too, though that can maybe wait til summer.

Let Callum fight for his place back (which from now on should be LCM). He’ll be the better for it.

*McCowan might be cup-tied for the game v Killie on the 18th, so Callum could slot back in for that. Shouldn’t be guaranteed the start thereafter for another game or two though, imo.

McCowan was * today. I know they all were but he's a squad player at best.

I just don't see him as a regular starter for us. He's had a good start as a Celt and has been a good signing, but he's a rotation option.

Point being, Reo is done here; whether his replacement is McCowan or a new mid is almost immaterial. Callum also needs rotated out for a bit.

Aye I can see why folk are fed up with Hatate tbh. Too many poor performances without a good one now.

Up there with one of my favourite derbys. The atmosphere was as good as I’ve ever seen it. And no away fans either.

Plenty of evidence to the contrary.

If I could swap Brendan for Ange I'd do it in a heartbeat. (Not because of today, I just really preferred the football)

…in the 6 position, with an unnatural LB next to him, and not enough folk showing for the ball ahead of him.

Playing more of an 8 position, he’s definitely better under pressure.
