Was debating this with a mate tonight, and listening to Kaspar on Foster’s Podcast he’s got a lot of pride not missing games week in and out, I think a big part of not seeing him the league cup is Kaspar absolutely is not shifting from his number one spot.

And resting him or that, doesn’t do him any good. BR knows him very well, they have a good relationship, after BR left Leicester they were still in close contact. When he’s playing like he is and if he won’t budge, he’d make that known, BR won’t feel the need to.

And Sinisalo himself when he had his first presser said he’s here not for the future but to press for number 1, so him being treated as such isn’t a bad thing either

No doubt about it for me, best keeper we’ve had this century

The Hoops are also set for talks with Kasper Schmeichel. The Danish international has been another who has impressed for Celtic this season. He signed a one year deal in the summer with an option of another 12 months. It is expected that both sides will look to activate that option, sooner rather than later

A fantastic player over-all for us, arguably our POTS beside Kuhn.

But for me, he has to be doing so much better for their first goal, I know he likely seen it late but from our view the ball wasn't moving that quick, he could (and should) have kept it out.

It's probably his first mistake of the season, but it was a costly one.

The first goal was the exact type of shot a scout warned about before he signed, as he didn't get down as quickly as he did previously. It was a weakness targeted in Belgium and they targeted that today and it paid off for them unfortunately.

Scales is more at fault for the goal imo, but aye I would've wanted Kasper to do more for the goal. He's been brilliant this season though, so it feels harsh to criticise him too much.

Just in. probably been mentioned, but he was the one guy still trying to encourage everyone at 2-0. A leader.

Yes, his first big mistake. He's got a bit of credit in the bank, though.

That's interesting. I was really surprised how many speculative long shots they were taking against him. Maybe that explains it.

I don't think many goalkeepers would have saved that shot. It was a great strike, hard, low and crept in at the post. I thought Schemichel had a good game, and I can't fault him for any of the goals. It was defensive errors, losing possession and sloppy marking that caused the goals.

Please tell me this post is satire? That was a decent strike but Kasper should be saving that all day long. He was far too slow in getting down to it and would have easily got there a few years ago. It's the downside to having a 38 year old keeper. He's a great shot stopper and a natural leader but that one today is a howler for me.

Like the rest of the team his passing was atrocious. Also felt he could of done better for the goal but I have never been a goalkeeper so what do I know :56:Plenty of credit in the bank though!

Along with CCV, totally blameless for that result.
No brainer for a 1 year extension.
He is brilliant on and off the pitch for us.

PS - I would like to see less FB posts of him at fancy restaurants tho - big man does now carry some extra cargo :fear:
