He wanted to go to MLS in the summer. I know he's missing sitters but we aren't doing enough to set up enough chances for our strikers either imo.

Last few months have seen us revert back to the way we're under BR in his previous spell and teams have sussed us out. Time for BR to sort it and earn that big salary he's on.

Just give him the service he needs. He'll do the rest.

I'd hate to see him go, especially in January. That window we wouldn't get a decent price for him plus we'll pay over the odds for a replacement.

It’s not Rodgers fault that Kyogo is regularly missing absolute sitters. It’s every game.

Your ability to shift any blame from Kyogo onto Rodgers is astounding.

Was it Rodgers fault he missed a sitter on Sunday?

He's always missed sitters, but he's not scoring loads others to offset it. If we don't sell now we never will as he's turning 30.

Glad to have had him but we need some fresh blood now I think.

Talk of letting Kyogo leave in January is absolute madness.

Replacing him with someone like Kvistgaarden would get my attention, but that seems very unlikely at this stage.

The bottom line is we can't afford to lose him next month unless we replace him with quality. Despite Kyogo's sketchy form, he's a proven goalscorer and big game player for us. His record with us is still less than 1 in 2.

Kyogo has been firing blanks for a while now, and it is beginning to cost us, and apparently he is looking for a move himself, maybe to the MLS.

I think he knows deep within himself, that he has run his course with Celtic. Time to freshen the team up for the challenges that lie ahead, Ibrox and Young Boys. Start giving Idah and McCowan starting places in the team, keep Kyogo and Hatate as impact subs to be able to get the best out of them. Bring in Balikwisha, Kvistgaarden, and another right winger and we would be good to go.

Would be risky to punt in January, maybe the summer.

Unless there's a replacment lined up of similar/better quality, there's no way I'd entertain letting him leave in January.

He can * off in the summer though, excellent wee player in his day in Scottish fitba, virtually anonymous in Europe season in season out - lile watching a 6 year old wee lassie runnin aboot trying to play fitba with grown men.

Have a feeling this thread will be a whole lot different in a few weeks , fancy him to hit a purple patch and to do the business at Ibrox. We are not selling and taking a punt on someone in January. If we have identified a genuine class replacement that will likely break the transfer record , is a good age and has a great goals record (in a smallish league albeit no doubt) , then we may move him on to help pay for a blue chip replacement. We need someone who will all but guarantee goals domestically , regularly . Don't think we will ever afford a striker who'd going to score a barrel load in the UCL, although we may get lucky and unearth a genuine star. But a Kvitgaarden type who will cost 10-15m and scores and assists regularly then BR may sanction a move. What we can't do is sell and take a 4m punt on someone raw/needs time .

For me I hope he stays and finds his form. If he does that we are better keeping him for as long as possible. He's a good age and the next couple of seasons could be his best .

Wouldn't say he's anonymous, he has 8 goals in 27 apps (3 CL goals)

    Dembele - 8 in 24 apps (4 CL goals)
    Edouard - 15 in 42 apps (0 CL goals)
    Hooper - 7 in 19 apps (2 CL goals)
    Griffiths - 15 in 45 apps (1 CL goal)

Could he score more? Sure he could. But the disrespect he's getting at the moment is OTT.

Agree about the disrespect . His contribution ( especially in derbies and finals/semi finals ) has been absolutely sensational .

Why are you showing me figures for other players in a thread about Kyogo? If you're going to throw in comments for debate, debate the player and dont use whataboutery.

Disrespect? So saying Kyogo is a legendary player domestically, but bang average at best in Europe is disrespectful? Sorry if facts and realism affect your poor levels of standards if you think he's been anywhere near good enough in all European competitions overall since coming in.

8 goals in 27 appearances is poor. Apart from stats, his overall play aint good enough if we're trying to progress as a club to higher standards in Europe.

You didn't quite put it like that . "He can * off in the summer though " is pretty disrespectful .
