    Will repeat this again.

It's not all down to Rodgers...ludicrous to suggest so. He's been poor this season and CAN be criticised. Chances are being created and he ain't finishing them.

If an offer comes in id take it whilst his stock is still high, just not scoring enough.

The wee man is a tryer, just been off form the last few months, sure he will come good soon.

Tries hard but his finishing is as bad as Dessers this season

Is it rash to suggest a replacement in the Summer? Think he’s been great for us but evidently not the same player under Rodgers. For the development of the team I think it would help to have more of a focal point in games like that and I think his finishing has been really poor all season.

The amount of absolute sitters he has missed this season is brutal, in double figures for sure. I just keep thinking he will turn it around but how long can it continue? I do reckon Idah would have started yesterday if it wasn't for so many first team regulars been out

Love him but I think this will be his last year with us. He's obviously getting frustrated that teammates aren't seeing his runs etc but when he gets a chance he needs to start putting them away. Anyone else feel like a lot of the players are getting a bit greedy? A few times yesterday the ball could of gone across the box but Hatate, Kyogo and McCowan all decided to shoot

He's the kind of player who doesn't get many touches and so is very dependent on his ability to finish when he gets his chance.

I still always hold out for a bit of magic from kyogo and he's more than capable of coming back to form. Realistically we are unlikely to find an upgrade in the market we operate in.

ATLANTA United are considering a fresh approach to sign Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi.

Willing to pay a sum in the region of £10million to land the Japanese talisman in the summer window, the MLS club were offered no encouragement

However, with two designated player slots vacant ahead of the new season in February, the ambitious outfit are in the market for a marquee centre-forward.

Reports in Portugal state that talks with Benfica about a move for Brazilian Arthur Cabral have hit a stumbling block over the price. And Mail Sport understands Furuhashi remains on a list of targets.

Former Parkhead boss Ronny Deila was confirmed as the club’s new head coach last week. After landing former Inter Miami executive Chris Henderson as their new chief soccer officer, CEO Garth Lagerwey promised more big moves in the new year.

‘We promised that we were going to remake the club,’ he said. ‘This is the first big one and there’ll be more to come to make this better in 2025.

The designated player is a roster slot allocated to high-level players who earn significantly more than the average MLS player. Furuhashi is currently tied to a new £20,000-a-week four-year deal which runs until the summer of 2027. Although linked with a switch to Manchester City last summer, the strongest interest came from Atlanta — with Celtic unwilling to sell ahead of another tilt at the Champions League.

Signed by Ange Postecoglou, Furuhashi made a blistering start to life in Glasgow, scoring 34 goals in all competitions before hitting the net 19 times last season. His tally for the current campaign is eight goals from 24 appearances, with six of his goals in the Premiership.

While an eight-figure offer would give Celtic a decision to make over a player who turns 30 on January 20, the Parkhead club need their top men as they aim for another domestic clean sweep. With qualification for the play-off stage of the Champions League set to be decided in the final weeks of January, they would be reluctant sellers.

He'll be here this season, but think he'll be off at the end of the season.

Never thought I'd be happy to let him go considering how good he's been for us, but just seems like it's time now. We need to bring in someone who suits our style better, wee man just can't get to grips with it consistently.

    * pish really, was hoping to have him for plenty years yet. But aye if Rodgers is the man taking us forward, may as well cash in now.

If the price is anywhere near £10m, I’d be tempted to take that. Huge money for a 30 year old high earner who’s just not performing.

I like big Idah too. Would like to see him get more minutes but would also like to see who we could bring in for that sort of price. Wonder if Kvistgaarden would be someone we look to get in.

    Not a chance we’d turn down £10m.

I would take that. Could get 2 strikers in the door for that amount.

Unless there is a guaranteed quality replacement in the window, then no way should we sell. You could argue we need 3 strikers anyway if one is off form or injured.

£10m is decent fee for a 30 year old who is slowly on the decline but far too much of a risk to sell ur main striker in January

Even if we do have a replacement lined up, no doubt we will * about until 31st of the month and chances of him coming in and settling, and hitting the ground running are too much of a gamble.

Think next summer will be best time to move him on
