Interpol the night were quality. Absolutely burst after a weekend celebrating my 40th but well worth it, must be one of the coolest bands on the planet. Bought Antics album they played the night with money from my first part time job many moons ago so brilliant seeing it live. Plus they ended up playing stuff like PDA and New York Kiss after the encore.

Kasabian were good on Saturday, just starting to feel normal again, ended up on it right through til Sunday night. Quiet few weeks then have We Are Scientists and Andy Irvine at the end of the month. Andy Irvine unfortunately falling on the same night we play Bruges so will be trying to avoid the score til I get home. Some gigs I'd patch in favour of the game but he's getting on a bit now, might not be many more opportunities to see him again.

Vampire Weekend last night at the Apollo. First time I've seen them since 2019. 2019 was probably a little better but last night was still a brilliant gig.

Wasn't until two weeks ago that I realised it was the first album they were playing. Was buzzing with that!

Went to over 20 gigs last year, most I've been to in a long time. Not planning on as many this year but depends who's announced. So far this year have 3 coming up.

Snow Patrol, Mogwai and Bruce Springsteen. Mogwai is the only one that's really my choice. Like what I've heard of Springsteen, just never taken time to get properly in to it. Snow Patrol, I don't mind some of their stuff but wouldn't be paying for the tickets myself.

Got tix for Nine Inch Nails in Amsterdam in summer. Going to plan a wee holiday around that, few days in Zandvoort and possibly Rotterdam.

    Cyndi Lauper was fantastic.
She was funny. She was on point with vocals. Just a great show

And still performs live. No backing tracks, dubbing or lip syncing nonsense. Proper old school.

The only way that should be considered 'live'. :notworthy

My point being, compared to so many nowadays that rely on all those things, she never has. Whether being a big fan of her music or not, she always puts on a good show. Was at Glastonbury the other year and hearing her compared to the likes of Dua Lipa, I know which one I'd pay money to catch live again. Cyndi Lauper might be in her 70's now, but put on a much better show and engaged a whole * of a lot more than someone who might have the looks, but only a fraction of her talent or passion, let alone actually cares enough to perform live and not just mime to a backing track.

Wife loves cyndi lauper so was just glad to take her for the last time.
Was really up there for me for one of the best performances I've seen.
