Nerves of steel at the penalty. And good for the third.Played an important role in us winning the Cup today. Needs his confidence nurtured now.

He’s obviously got some talent but seems low on confidence. Needs to calm down and show us what he can do.

11 goal contributions overall but making far too many basic mistakes.

I hope winning the cup, with him scoring a penalty, will lift the weight that's clearly been on his shoulders

He's never recovered from that Dortmund game.

Was good against Leipzig and had one or two decent domestic appearances, but that game spooked him big time and he hasn't been the same. Weird too as he'd have faced them plenty of times with Augsburg.

The level of expectation of a 60000 crowd might be the difference between the two situations.

I thought he was really poor when he came out yet ended up with an assist and scored a penalty in the shootout. He is contributing. But at times it felt like he was an accident waiting to happen.

Still finding his feet, still not quite sure what his best position in the team is, though I suspect it is DM. Football is a confidence game, we need to keep building his confidence up, and maybe a spell in the gym would help too.

Clinical in the final third, weak in defence

There’s so much more in him that much is evident, it appears to be a mental thing with him.

He was excellent for Kuhn’s goal and barring a shocker of a touch was through one on one with their keeper. Pen was despatched cooly as well but he does look a bit spooked for some reason. Don’t know if he just needs more time to settle in to his surroundings.

He's poor at the moment, but I still think he'll come good.

Similar to Hatate in the sense there seems to be no inbetween can be class or hoaching from one minute to the next

He needs to tidy up his game majorly but there’s absolutely a quality player in him. We’re just going to have to be patient, record signing or not.

For me his performance today was one of extremes. He done some things extremely well and some extremely poorly.

His assist for our third was an excellent pick out and the energy and drive to get to that position. Likewise in injury time his run for the Hatate pass was excellent, those runs beyond the striker seem like a good strength of his. He also clearly has bottle, took his penalty well.

The negatives for me was the marking at the second goal for them is very poor and he has to do far better. But our failure to stop the cross from that side cost us two very cheap goals and also needs addressed.

I think he also tends to rush things at times, the first touch when Hatate played him in, take a better touch and that is a chance to be the match winner.

He is still very young and there is definitely a player in him, it is refining the parts of his game that we need to, to get the best out of him.

Like any player he's fair game for criticism if he's playing, but I think he's shown us that he has something.

He might not become as good as we hope, but I have faith in him based on the flashes of quality I've seen so far.

This lad needs some serious coaching around the basics, but there is real talent in there.

We bit like Maeda, raw and infuriating but might just have something special worth nurturing.

I think he needs a bit of one-on-one coaching on some of the aspects he’s struggling with.

Next game he starts, I would tell him he has one job, just focus on getting on the ball as much as possible and retaining possession.

No running power, no shooting, no crossing - just get the ball and move it on without losing possession. Build from there.

That’s his weakest aspect right now. He just can’t retain possession reliably.
