Celtic Football Club is pleased to announce a three-year contract extension with front of shirt partner, Dafabet.

This will become the longest shirt partnership in the Club's history, running for 12 consecutive years since first appearing on kit for season 2016/17.

Dafabet initially joined as International Betting Partner in 2015, extending the Club's relationship with the company to a total of 13 years.

As well as being a hugely important commercial partner, throughout the Club’s partnership, Dafabet has shown its unwavering commitment to Celtic FC Foundation, donating front of shirt space to the Foundation and its associated appeals and campaigns, donating match tickets to a range of local causes, gifting Play on the Park rights every year to supporters and worthy causes, sponsoring many of our charity matches over the course of partnership and offering continual support for all Foundation activities.

John Cruces, Head of Sponsorship at Dafabet, said: “We are very happy to be extending our partnership with Celtic FC.

"To be the longest front of shirt partner on such an iconic and worldwide recognised shirt is a proud moment. To think it was back to the 2016/17 season, an invincible season, that we were first on the shirt is somewhat surreal.

"The measure of success the club has had during our partnership has been incredible and testament to all, both on and off the park. As always we wish the club the very best and look forward to seeing more records broken and achieving common goals.”

Celtic Chief Executive, Michael Nicholson, said: “Dafabet has been a hugely important partner of the club for so many years and we are delighted to agree this new extension.

"It is a partner which has also demonstrated a real and meaningful commitment to our charitable and community dimension, something we are extremely appreciative of.

"It is through the club’s strong fundamentals that we continue to be able to attract and deliver such quality partnerships and through agreements such as the one we announce today we are able to look ahead with confidence. We thank Dafabet for their continued commitment to Celtic.”

A bit *, was hoping we wouldn’t stick with a betting company but oh well. I’d imagine it’ll be on very lucrative terms.

Don't really get the hate for betting companies. They pump lot of money into football and no doubt we have stuck with dafabet due to them being highest bidder.

Not like they are on kids strip and don't buy into the narrative that it encourages gambling. If Ur gonna bet Ur gonna bet regardless of seeing a logo.

I have quite a few betting accounts and I've still never seen or used Dafabet. Wouldn't know it existed if is wasn't our shirt sponsor.

    Shocking decision.

Money men will take the easy and safest option every time it seems.

All dafabet had to do was basically offer the same per year or slightly more and we would sign off on it. Saves the men upstairs from having to actually go source another company.

    * forbid they should listen to the actual fans who don't like this design, company, or that betting is used in the industry.

Christ leagues (ours?) are looking to kick betting companies out of football advertising and here we are extending a deal with one - that our fans can't even use!

As long as the money is good I don't see the issue.

We had years of alcohol sponsorships and people don't really moan about that. Which I think is far worse to be honest.

We could have Asda as a sponsor but if the font and style looked good I wouldn’t care :67: dafabets font and colour scheme has to be one of the worst sponsors/logo I’ve seen

Why can't we get a Korean/Japanese car or electronics company as a sponsor? More ethical than bookies, and we could have easier access to the best players in Asia.

I remember that but thought it was a bit of a one off gimmick. Would be great if that's what they did all the time.

Get all the points about betting, bevy companies, the ugliness. But the fact that Dafabet and Adidas wanting to extend are great signs for us as a club, stature and build on getting even bigger and better contracts for the future.
