I'd have taken any sort of win before kick off tbh.

    Happy with that. We move.

It was always going to be a battle tonight. Not just the conditions but the stakes for Aberdeen, they reslly needed to win tonight - or at the very least not lose - to maintain their dreams of challenging for the title, especially after losing to St M and draws v Hibs (in such dramatic circumstances) & Hearts.

So to take all 3 points - something that no other team has managed to do at Pittodrie since that bizarre stint when Neil Warnock was in charge - is a genuine achievement. Was not much in the way of joy for any of the wide players, and even the goal assist by Taylor came from wasn’t from out wide.

Bernardo was one of the best on the park in the first half in terms of providing a bit of a threat, but the changes that BR made in the 2nd half - Taylor, Idah, McCowan etc - all had an impact in piling on the pressure. Dons could not match at the same level which saw them clinging on rather than pushing out and eventually that difference on such a tricky night ended up telling.

Dons have a decent rub of fixtures coming up so they really will need to start to string Ws together to stave off Sevco closing the gap on the in the race for 2nd, but as for Celtic, will be more than happy to be heading back to Glasgow now 7 points clear at the top and attention now turns to the visit of Hibs, this weekend.

We didn't play great but we know this is a tough fixture so the win's all that counts. Plenty opportuities to extend our goal difference again on the horizon.

Will take that! Expected that exact type of game. This should be a lesson to the fans that think we should destroy every team, every week! Doesn’t quite work like that!

Correct, even the Lisbon Lions struggled against teams. Good to see BBC SPORTSCENE praising the Huns after beating Killie unbelievable

Didn’t actually see the game tonight because I was at a gig but I saw a clip of the conditions. Looked bad. :56:

Happily take a 1-0 win from that. Don't think there was any chance of playing good football in that wind and rain, so to fight for the points in them conditions shows a different side to us

That Depeche Mode when we score!!
Thought we would get a battling win in those poor conditions. Next Wednesday we will get a brilliant away win.

I am going to say it: we will remain unbeaten all season. If we win in conditions like that, with the amount of games we played? Very confident we are looking at another invincible season… we can even step up a notch or two with 1/2 quality transfers next month.

Aberdeen and ref were a disgrace, that makes that win even sweeter!

Another clean sheet, 3 points and a good goal to win it. The conditions were horrendous so would have took a toll playing in that tonight.

Ring the changes for Hibs on Saturday and get another 3 points on the board before a massive week next week.
