I’d be majorly surprised if a player from league of Ireland walks straight into our team to replace Taylor.

 

Height is wrong online, the Rovers official site has him at 6 foot 1 (still not bad for a full back)

What I mean is I would prefer someone more proven and experienced brought in as first choice, Montgomery should be starting ahead of Taylor ffs.

 

I think we will regret not going for him.
Can see him going to Rangers if they sell Barasic as Gerrard was praising him not long ago.
He will only get better.

Hes 19 year old ffs. Its just a typical wee guy thing to say. The two teams are not exactly evenly matched either. Kent has ripped our defence apart not too long ago.

 

Exactly and none of those fullbacks now play for us! He isn’t good enough for us.

Aye and have a trading deficit of £23m this year needing plugged. £11m reportedly from barasic less 20% due to previous club.

 

I’d rather give Monty a chance or get Robson from Dundee United, Doig is a good little player but lacks pace and size.

 

We’re rumoured to be interested in him again.

We have players in our academy who can take up the homegrown places...we need better than doig

 

No we don't.

The best player is Cummings and he's third choice striker at best. The players in teh colts aren't good enough and you can't fill your squad with foreign players who won't get into the European squad, as you'll * them off.

And there is a couple of the above I'd not want near our starting xi.

If Taylor is off then I think Doig is fine as a replacement for a homegrown second choice left back.

 

Doig isn't good enough for us. Lacks pace for me..

I've got big hopes for Frame down the line. Anderson as well looks a good prospect by his pre season games, although I wished I got a better loan this season..

 

Doig's name keeps turning up every year like a bad penny, getting sick of it to be honest.
Probably cost about £4M too, not worth it, too lightweight and lacks pace.
I like my full backs with a bit of dig and fight in them.
