Fast start from Brugge spoked them a think and it seemed to fiter through the stadium.

Does anybody else feel its a massive anti climax after the CL anthem? Me personally I think YNWA should kick in straight after it and while I'm at it wish they would stop cutting it off so early should cut out 2nd verse for me and crank the volume up. Thoughts?

It felt like the fans were expecting us to turn up, get the win and that be that. And grumbling when it became apparent it wasn’t going to be an easy task. The fans weren’t up for it and flat, the team the same.

We have a habit of that when we don’t feel like underdogs and it’s a tight game.

I don’t think it matters now looking at that table I think psg and Madrid will sneak in the lower end of the play off spots and turn it on its head

People need to calm down (not really in this thread but there’s a lot of folk raging at the result the other night). If someone had said that from home games against Leipzig, Bratislava and Brugge we’d have two wins and a draw, you’d have absolutely bit their hand off for it.

Brugge are a team of a similar level to us but who have done well in Europe for the last four or five years, there is no shame at all in a draw and competitive game at home. Both teams probably could’ve nicked it, a draw is a fair result.

It will be similar against Dinamo Zagreb, and a point would be great for us. Young Boys at home is a game we should and need to win.

We are in a brilliant position.

Agree largely with the above the one thing I will say is I don’t think Dinamo Zagreb are as good as Brugge were. They do have a few players in Midfield and Attack that are dangerous and they are still a good side. The leveller for us is we are away from home which probably makes this as difficult as the Brugge game.

Zagreb have been toiling domestically for them, who normally walk that league quite easily. Again they have the edge in recent European experience but I do think they can be got at. What I hope is that we can carry more of a threat in this game than we did on Wednesday as Zagreb don’t look as strong defensively as Brugge.

Watching the Dortmund highlights and that could have easily been 7 the other night had they had Adeyemi on the form against us instead of Mallen who should have had a hat trick but didn’t even score. The Monaco game they got the 2-2 was a bit of a wild card, it was played in a monsoon and the park was practically flooded, ball sticking, not bouncing and a lot of chaos type situations as a result.

For me I think we should be looking to get something from this game whether it’s a draw or a win but we should be competing in this game.

For those who are in love.....
I watched them away at Bratislava and they got opened up with ease so many times..

They did eventually win as Bratislava are terrible at the back, but it's absolutely 6 points we should be aiming for in Zagreb and Young Boys at home..

Aa good a double header as we could realistically get at this point..

On the points above that people are talking about regarding Brugge. We saw just how experienced they were, no age wise but as a club. Their results away from home in Europe against good sides, the fact they were in the conference semi's last year..

They're just a little bit more ahead of us in belief and hiw comfortable they are to go away and play their own game..

We aren't too far off though. Bit more quality needed at left back and on the wing. Engels and Bernardo to develop a bit more and we won't be far off..

So, before Zagreb away we play Hibs at home.
Get 4-0 or 5-0 up then rest our strikers for the Zagreb game as we play the huns after that.
That would mean going right up the play off position and also in excellent form for the League Cup final against the huns

The folk raging will be the same ones in the stadium the other night moaning and not backing the team.

It's the champions league ffs. Aye we are at home but it's no Falkirk we are playing it's the champions of Belgium. Are they as good as some top teams in Europe? No. But if you don't turn up these sides will beat you easily.

Our support can be bewildering at times.

Also I think we will enjoy playing on Zagrebs pitch. Atmosphere is pretty average, fans way back from the pitch and its a big park.

Think it could help us rather than going to a tightly packed, raucous place.

I noticed this watching the highlights it is a weird set up, I thought at first they had been made play behind closed doors but it was like a giant wall with a running track inside that then the pitch.

Guy next to me was screaming the entire game. I know we were poor early in the game, but you're right, some folk were acting like we were down a goal against St Johnstone.

Over 3 years since we beat Ferencvaros, way too long for a European away win. This is a great opportunity to seal qualification.
