Some players just not suited to our league or style of play. This seems to be the case.

Like a few that have been here and struggled. Not a bad player it's just not for them.

I'd prefer an upgrade on Valle to be honest as I don't think he's the finished article just yet and is still a bit lightweight

I'd be aiming for at least double what we've paid, doesn't sound like internacional afford it either way.

As good as he's done over there, he's clearly done here, would be selling him rather than giving him another chance.

Bits and pieces from a few different articles make me wonder if this talk of 10m is from the option to buy. I wonder if we have learned from the Jack Hendry move and made 10m the option to buy price just so we wouldn't get ripped off if the loan worked well, but not actually expecting it to get taken up and that we'd need to renegotiate it at the end of the deal.

Whatever the situation is I doubt we are getting 10m for him, but it's looking like we should make a profit, which is better than I expected at least.

It sure does look like we are actually going to be able to make a profit on Bernabei which is incredible considering how far off it he was with us.

Valle I wouldn’t get the hopes up for. Barca rate him, and had him as an option going into this season, he wanted a loan for more experience and didn’t want the transfer option in it. Rumours about them recalling him, which I don’t quite believe but shows the way he’s viewed in Spain that.

He’s here with a view of playing for Barcelona next season. He won’t consider it an option staying.

Great business if that’s the case. Any profit on this dud is a miracle.

Can I ask you about Alexandro Bernabei, he's been getting all of his plaudits. He's obviously maybe been out of people's minds a wee bit but he's going to come back into contention here soon is there a chance of maybe cutting it a second time around, perhaps?

I think it's great that he's gone away and done well and sometimes you just find that. I think he'd been here for a period of time it hadn't worked out as probably what he or the club would have wanted and sometimes that happens you go away, you go back into a different culture or a different life and back into obviously South America for him and the reports that I hear is that he's done well, but there's nothing more to add than that. He'll finish his spell there and then we'll look at that and see where that's at come January.

Don't think he wants to come back tbh. Just didn't settle in Scotland. Long way from home. Totally different lifestyle and weather. I'm sure he will be sold on.

I’ll hedge my bets on Valle never making it for Barca. He’ll be a way for them to profit; wouldn’t be surprised if he’s recalled and sold. Or sold in the summer. Balde is only 1 year older than Valle and 10x as good.

I hope we actually go for someone a bit more experienced at full back in the mould of when we signed alistair Johnston at 22/23 with a bit of pedigree already. Valle’s been good but not seen much more in him than what I would have expected to see if we actually give frame or Anderson a chance

It suits all parties that he is sold in January.

He won’t want to return here. Whether it was the culture, the style of play, the pressure… it just didn’t suit him or his game. Look at him now, in an environment he’s happy and comfortable. Playing out of his skin. This is a transfer that should be easy to make. I’d be delighted to get our money back but there is genuinely an opportunity to make a profit and that’s the phenomenal business if we do.

I suspect we will be willing to do business at a small profit and I suspect he will be delighted to move on as soon as possible.

Cash in when we can. I don't think he is a bad player but isn't good enough for us. Whist its great he is impressing in south america, I have little doubt that if he came back he has too many shortfalls to hit the standard we need and expect.

If we get more then what we paid then brilliant, let the young man stay in his homeland and enjoy his football again. Nothing lost really at both ends, just didn't work out.
