Voted for Stein but for me Ancelotti takes the crown purely for doing it at multiple teams. Pep for me had an incredible bunch of Barca players. Probably the best team ever. But didn’t do much at Bayern who win everything anyway. And at city he’s won the league with only Liverpool any good to challenge them. And got very very lucky in the champions league they played a team with Lukaku up top to win it!

Brilliant manager but not the best

I don’t even know if I would use the word ‘brilliant’ about Pep. Talented, adaptable and visionary, yes - but then so are many who were not handed the extremely fortuitous start that he had.

    Voted for Jock.

Surprised Mourinho isn’t on that list, winning the UCL with Porto straight off the back of the Uefa cup is insane for a club outside the big leagues.

An argument can be made for Ancelotti; but I would still argue for Stein:

First team from Scotland to do it.
First team from the UK to do it.
IIRC, weren't the Lions also the first team from northern Europe to do it?
AFAIK Stein was the only one to do it with a team entirely from the club's home city. I'm not certain about that; but certainly none of the modern managers can claim that.

    Mental what they did.

Dont know how Guardiola is placed on 11%.

Ferguson revolutionised a club all on his own and built the foundations of what they are today.

    Ancellotti's record is astounding

Stein revolutionized "british" football, not to mention his Euro success is the template for all football Cinderella stories

Mourinho not even being mentioned is scandalous

Cloughs record with clubs like Forrest is incredible

Paisley, shankly etc all have had more comparative success

This Pep Guardiola circle * in football journalism is basically a personality cult. Theres no doubt he's a great manager, and certainly up there, but some common sense needs to be applied.
When has he ever built anything? And im not talking about a squad. I mean took a mid table club, or a club in a "lesser" league, and did something that defied the odds, like Clough, Stein, Mourinhio etc.

Once he wins an epl title with Everton ,or leads Mallorca to a CL title, then Ill start sucking his *.

    As do I.

The days of the not to be * with, strong, gary cooper managers are gone. Coaches like Stein, Ferguson, even big Ange are viewed as "inappropriate" for the modern game.

The euro managers club these days looks like a * advert for Topshop.
Mincing about the touchlines in their Stanley Chow sneakers and wollen h+m scarves.

If i was a manager in the epl id have Guardiola by the throat. This bullshit power play he pulls at the full time whistle of walking onto the field and whispering in opposition players ears with his arm around them is sneaky as *.

    Great manager though.
