Thanks Bhoys, the pictures don't really do justice to the colours in the late evening sun, a visit to your local forest is highly recommended before the leaf fall disappears for another year.:50:

My daughter and I used to go to a place called Baron's Haugh in Motherwell. It was a RSPB resrve. What a place this was at this time of the year. The colours was sensational, reds, yellows, browns, even blacks and purples(or dark reds). It was a stunning place for birds as well, with a loch, marches, and wetlands. Along with the bird life, the colours were sensational.

A few from an inlet in the townland of Ahamlish in north Sligo, i had called in there on Sunday on my way home from a market in Bundoran, i just reached the end of the wee narrow road and nearly crashed my van when a huge White tailed Eagle flew overhead about 15 feet from the ground, i think i must have disturbed it as it seemed to come out of nowhere, as per usual i didn't have any camera with me for that encounter :38::38:, i went back yesterday heavily equipped but there was no sign of him there, still, spent a nice couple of cold hours there and managed to get a few snaps.
