Would be a nice touch to have him up to do the windfall draw at half time, if he’s able. Let him get a proper send off from the fans.

Mate, I'm on about 40p or so an hour more than the minimum wage. Last year (and the year before) I was on the minimum wage. I spent 8 years washing pots for a living, so I feel I have a right to say this:

Money isn't everything and if you can't see why a nice young lad potentially losing up to a year of a very short career (just a few minutes into his first game after his big move to the EPL) makes most of us feel really sad, then you need to target your resentment at the politicians, think tanks and bureaucrats who are actually responsible for this economy, rather than at a nice young lad who made it good through talent and hard work.

He’s a *. Apparently health isn’t an issue when you make good money. Moronic.

People who claim to not give a * after some of our best players leave us are genuine weirdos.

You’ve watched a guy give us so many amazing memories and quite clearly love the club you also support. Just pretending the guy doesn’t exist because he’s no longer wearing green and white is the ultimate Sellick da, uber pish.

Wee touch of class from MOR.

Wouldn't expect anything else from him.

Hopefully gets fit ASAP and shows what he is all about on the pitch in the EPL thus showing others what we can do for their development and the pathway we can offer.

It's a win win although gutted to see him go I'm also happy for him.

Crikey, just seen he’s gonna need surgery. Terrible luck with being called up to the national squad as well, he’ll be devastated

Where do we reckon the side would currently be had he stayed an extra season, who's place would he currently be occupying?

Hatate probably wouldn't have been getting games as a starter in the Champions League had O'Riley stayed, Brendan was clearly looking for extra athletic running power in midfield to help out CalMac which means Engels would be playing as the 8, so would the starting 11 have been even stronger with O'Riley behind Maeda, Kyogo and Kuhn as opposed to Hatate?

O'Riley was a more productive creative and goal scoring threat however he isn't as quick as Reo and can't press as intensely as Reo either as he is a little slower

Things work out the way they do however with the way we're currently flowing it would have been very interesting to see how O'Riley operated with Engels behind and Maeda, Kyogo, Kuhn ahead

I don't think we would've signed engels if he stayed.

Dont think we would have signed Engels so arguably we would be stronger in midfield, not as athletic but more creative and more goals coming from there however I don't know if Khun would be as productive as he's been if orielly was still here. Khun is thriving coming inside into the space where O'Reilly would normally occupy and I think Khun has picked up the baton in terms of being out most creative player

It’s mad, he left, got instantly injured, then we signed Engels plus Bernardo stepping right up this season and it’s like we’ve forgotten all about him.

We haven’t missed him one bit and I don’t mean that as a slight against him at all.

Just goes to show that no player is irreplaceable, you just need to find the right fit at the right time. Engels was a bit touch and go at the beginning but has shown his ability in the last 3 games. And arguably the last two have been some of the toughest challenges.

Just shows what a job Engles and Bernardo have done coming in to replace him.

On a side note, we'd have won by an even greater score on Tuesday if he was still here.

We wouldnt haven't signed Engles if he stayed though. Not that a think Engles is a better player but the midfield as a whole looks better this season imo. It's got a better balance

    I agree although we should've.

We best be spending big on players. I don't want last summer to be the exception. I want it to be the norm

I do think we've missed him at times, at least domestically. Kuhns form has compensated for that to a degree but couple of games the right hand side has been pretty flat and uninvolved.
