Blowing my own trumpet here, but I defended this man all last season when things were grim. Because I know this man is the best we can possibly have here. Recruitment last summer was a disgrace and totally * us. We are on another planet now though. Please Celtic get this man signed up on another contract.

 

His best European performance and result bar none at all the clubs he's managed.

He deserves that tonight.

For me you don’t get that result for Celtic with ange as manager …. Tottenham maybe but as we know that’s a different situation

Haha. I love the man. On another level to Ange.

 

I love em both but they both * off for EPL glory and * it.

If either has stayed put they'd have made themselves Celtic legends.

Yer man BR is on his way to making amends tho I'll give him that.

 

I loved Ange but I don’t think he is capable of getting us putting in that type of performance. We are so much more balanced.

 

It's good to see the way Celtic have helped him develop.

Maybe, hard to say as the board were about to back him to a level not seen before and we played with a high level of confidence despite being too open under him.

I think Rodgers style suits us more in Europe as we control the ball better though.

 

Didn't want him back and feared the worst for most of last season but he's proven how good he is when he has the players. Has got us playing the best I've ever seen us play in Europe and probably domestically too. Some of our football is outstanding.

 

A top, top manager, but there were no doubts about that.

To say he's learned from the Dortmund game is an understatement. Our next game is away to the Europa league winners who pumped Napoli at the weekend, where we put in a defensive masterclass. They had one shot where they should have scored from, outside that it was honestltly comfortably.

We then beat the team second in the Bundesliga very comfortably. That was 3-1 going on 5. We were by far the better team.

The difference in the press between tonight and Dortmund was very clear to see too. We weren't leaving anywhere near as many gaps tonight and when we did press, we left options elsewhere to cover if they beat it, which they rarely did.

Tell ye what, if we faced Dortmund next weekend, away again, there's absolutely no chance it ends 7-1 or close to it again. Not saying we'd beat them or even draw, but it would be far closer.

Very, very exciting few seasons upcoming, I don't know if we could convince Brendan to sign a new long term contract, but I think he'd 100% be willing to stay an additional season past next year, either way we should be doing all we can to tie him down.

By far the best Celtic manager in my lifetime. Absolutely dominated a top class European outfit there with half their resources.

Mad what happens when a top quality manager is backed with a few key players that he’s identified that are well within our reach.

He has finally stepped out of Neil Lennon's shadow when it comes to European results. And we actually dominated good parts of the game.
