Regardless on whether he'll be off or not in January, Brendan should still be selecting him over Taylor, he's been performing well, Taylor has no pace, power or athleticism to play LB at European level, we've seen this movie too often, Valle was excellent away to Atalanta, excellent against Aberdeen and should have kept his place

This is a bizarre decision...is Rodgers thinking experience or is he carrying an injury...the boy has been really good the last few games.

If he is allowed to be recalled by his parent club half way through the season then Celtic have slipped up badly. Celtic should never have accepted this to be allowed when the loan contract was signed.

No this is Brendan being petty after Barca have made it known that they're going to cut Valle's loan short in January so Brendan has said "oh is that right, well you know what, * developing your player in the Champions League any further"

Lament Barca sure but don't use Valle to make a point when it's nothing to do with him

How tf is it not ya walloper?

Why is he taking this out on Valle by unjustifiably dropping him just because Barca have made it clear that they want to cut his loan 6 months early?

That's petty af! So give me your rationale as to why it isn't?

If Valle was injured he wouldn't be on the bench, we've seen Taylor isn't good enough for Europe time and again, doesn't have the power, pace or athleticism required at that level, why tf did we bring Valle in if it wasn't to displace Taylor at LB?

There is absolutely no * way you can justify Taylor coming in for Valle after the way Valle has been performing recently

Definitely the correct move by Brendan. Taylor has way more experience and the young guy is still learning. I fear it’s irrelevant who plays there as they are some side. He brought Taylor on against Aberdeen “to look after the ball” were his words, so we should not have been surprised. I know there will be hundreds of people waiting for Taylor to make a mistake and pile in (don’t get it myself, it’s Celtic we support).

So are you telling me that it's complete coincidence that just as the story breaks that Barca are going to recall him early he's dropped to the bench with no mention of injury whatsoever?

    Okay ya roaster

FWIW, the article being cited is not a credible outlet for Barça news

Brendan literally just said Taylor is in because of his experience

Nah I don't * buy that whatsoever tbh, especially after the way Valle just performed in Atalanta, Taylor with all that experience giving away a * stupid penalty at home to Atletico Madrid last season, then his brain fart moment that caused the Bratislava goal just over a month ago, experience of games in the Champions League despite not having the pace, power or athleticism to play at that level competently enough means very little

Also, if it's down to experience of Champions League games, why is Trusty being started ahead of Scales tonight? Despite the fact Scales has more experience than Trusty at European level? Got an answer for that one? Don't respond by saying pace as justification because Valle is 100% far quicker than Taylor

So if it's about experience at European level to justify selection, why Trusty ahead of Scales?
