That's pretty typical though in post-season (and not just the G7 type situations) the last 25 years or more and seems to get increasingly shorter, very few starters, even if they have had a good start, seem to be allowed to go more than twice through the order, let alone go deep into the ballgame - and more often than not, the first sniff of a threat and it is straight hand it over the the 'pen.

But this seaosn it's been a trend through the regular season more and more it seems, so it's not a massive shock that the 'pens have not been able to just be on lock as much as in the past, as overall they've all been expected to do more work than ever before.

Doesn't matter now really who wins on the side its a box office final now either way with ir being an all New York affair or more likely the old Yankees Dodgers rivalry.

Let's not forget who became the Dodgers biggest fan after LA stole the team from Brooklyn

Dodgers win NLCS to face Stinkees in the WS!

Kinda poetic, knocking out one NY ballclub to set up the Fall Classic against the other one.

OK, Dodgers, now beat the evil empire.

The Dodgers are a NY Ballclub themselves, time doesn't make theft any less worse of a crime

Freddie Freeman Walk off Grand slam to win G1 for the Dodgers.

Gave me memories of Kirk Gibson in 1988, hobbling around the bases...

Incidently, that was the very first WS game I ever saw in full on Australian tv. There would be highlights packages before that, but that 1988 WS was the first that was broadcast in full.

Dodgers win G2 to go 2-0 up in the Series, with the show heading east and resumes on Monday.

Hopefully Ohtani's wrist or shoulder (the radio was reporting a wrist injury, but the update said it was his shoulder, so not sure which it is) isn't anything serious, but it is a bit of a cloud over Yamamoto's 1-hit 6.1 inning pitched gem. Also another bomb by Freddie Freeman to go along with his game 1 winning walk off heroics.

Think this was the moment the Yankees gave up. Why wave the slowest man alive on to home?

All but over now. The only question really is will it be a sweep.

    DODGERS WIN WORLD SERIES!

Had to do it the hard way in G5, after being behind out of the gate as Stinkees went hot, 3-0 in the first, and it was 5-0 by the end of the 3rd. But the Dodgers hung in there, massive 5 run 5th to level up. Stinkees then went ahead 6-5, but Dodgers hung in, and clawed to a 7-6 lead in the 8th, and Walker Buehler closed it out.

Congrats to the Brooklyn Dodgers they were the better team and even when they struggled the Yankees found a way to make mistakes and errors to let them back in the game
