Just what we needed after the Dortmund game. Trusty and Scales were superb but the whole team defended well.

    Trusty was immense
Scales, aside from some of his usual Crazy Legs Crane moments, was also very good
Johnston and Valle stuck to their tasks and showed up as well as could be expected.
Midfield did their job in running and covering
Maeda was still off his game like he was on Saturday
Idah ran himself into the ground
    As did Kuhn
    Subs all contributed.

a great result after the utter pumping we took from Dortmund

finally - get it right up you Scottish Media! You expected a pumping tonight for us! Rewrite your headlines you gutter trash animals!

That will pick us up domestically as well. We really needed that result as it was clear to see that Dortmund result demoralised the team. C’mon Bhoys get Fukin in.

Credit to Rodgers for learning from his mistakes against Dortmund and brilliant 2nd half performance defensively, special mention for Trusty who was immense.

Delighted with that. Right shape and structure, everyone giving 100% , and gives us a blueprint for future away days in Europe.

Special mention to Trusty and Kuhn. They were both great

Thought the whole back 4 and Kasper was really good especially Trusty. First real performance from him. Wasn’t too certain about Trusty before this performance.
Hatate had a really good game too. Another one who has not turned up all season.

    Really well earned away point.

That backline was disciplined and kept their shape and line. all four huge credit, plus Kasper.

It wasn't the most exciting of attacking games, I think Kyogo from the start may have gave us more to be excited about (I don't disagree with the initial idea to start Idah though).
But I'll take that away from home.

Some won't like this, but I'd take this against Leipzig at home as well and then go at Brugge for an exciting win and get us to 8pts.

Then it's a dare to get another 4-6 from Zagreb and young boys and go to Villa on 12-14pts would be insane!

When we all would have been happy at 8-10 before we kicked a ball in the UCL, now I'm sat here thinking how can we get 12-14 with confidence.

The icing on the cake would have been if that excellent Kyogo effort went in. But can't complain with the result and the bravery of our players after the Dortmund game.

Missed pretty much all the second half. Massive point. Next two games we should be looking to take maximum points at home

This is how you wanted to see us play in the last European game. I'm pleased that adaptations were made and it's clearly paid off. Really big point.

Agree with this, especially in games when we are clearly the ones punching above our weight. Going out and being all out attack and then finding outrselves 4 or 5 down at HT.. The truth is, we are more likely to lose games early than we are to win them. Compared to staying in the contest.

Besides, this is a league. While points is the main thing, if things get tight at the back end and GD comes into the reckoning, all the more reason why sometimes we need to be that bit pragmatic in some of these sorts of games. Not saying this is how we should be every single CL game, but tonight's approach was totally the right one for away games against the likes of Atalanta or Dortmund.
