Seriously though I am tolerant of other peoples religions and points of view. Perhaps I shouldn't have written what I did. I'd had a few pints down the pub and nearly come to blows with a bluenose (B'ham City fan) playing football earlier on in the evening!

Didn't vote as i'm not scottish, but i consider Scotland a nation and support scottish independentism.

Anyway, i think it's obvious that scottish people are british. And don't ban me yet :icon_mrgreen: i mean just the geographical concept, obviously Scotland is in Great Britain as Wales and England are so it is a british nation. That has nothing to do with politics and i personally dislike UK as a state.

I'm just the same as you guys......

Only I'm English, therefore class myself as English and not British.

If Scotland and Wales want their own independance then im fine with that, I've certainly got nothing against either country.

The same with Northern Ireland, which in my opinion should be part of a united Ireland.

Each country should have their own identity, why force a Scotsman to have a British passport when he doesn't want one?

Why force someone in Belfast to be under British rule when he doesn't want to be?

Establishment and politics.... forever causing harm to the normal man.

Scottish. It does my head in over here when people refer to the UK.
"Are you going back to the UK over the holiday?"
"No, I'm going back to Scotland."
    or
"This is a British school, studying the British curriculum."
"No, it's an English and Welsh school because there isn't a British curriculum, there are seperate English and Welsh, Northern Irish and Scottish education systems."
I have never described myself or anybody else as British.

I was born in Glasgow to Scottish parents but we moved down to live in London when I was a wee boy. I consider myself to be Scottish definitely.

It is a generational thing. I think if you asked OAP age people about 90% would say 'both to some degree' and wouldnt understand the need to seperate them completely. I am a Scottish nationalist myself but I think its crazy to completely write of the amazing contribution Britain made to the world and only remember the bad stuff. I think Britain has just run its course. I have to say though, I would continue to share a military with the rest of the UK until such a time as the EU have a credible force.

wouldnt do that tbh i mean britain is basicaly england and whenever theres a war and the americans get involved england/britain also gets involved and that means the scottish troops are away fighting americas or englands wars

If we split, we need to bring 10% of everything with us from the military too - royal navy destroyers, nukes, you name it. We paid for a tenth of it after all.
