SPFL Ross County v Celtic Sunday October 6th kick off 12PM Sky sports football

Feels like one of those important inflection points that happen a few times in any season. Going into the break having been battered vs dortmund and points dropped against Ross county would have really taken all shine off all the good feeling we've had this season.

Instead it feels like job done and probably a decent time for a break from celtics perspective.

 

We are away to Murderwell after the Atalanta game. Hopefully BR has learned from today and freshens up the team.

Team very flat after that result in Tuesday it was one of those sigh of relief at the end of it games that you get a few times over the season

Not to be sniffed at .
Had a shaky week, international break comes at a good time to regroup and go again.

 

Cheers. I got that impression in the first half - one of the few that seemed to be on it before the break - but after, he was barely mentioned, so yeah, hard to fairly assess based on radio commentary if a player isn't mentioned much, lol.

Brendan: “Bit slow in the first half. No movement. Weren’t doing anything with the ball. Onus is on us to be more creative. New energy into game on 60 mins and they were fantastic. No easy games, especially after European games”.

 

Showed a strong determination/mentality to get the win there. Players deserve a lot of credit for that & manager likewise for making the subs.

The concern I have is that if we set up the same way we did in Dortmund against Atalanta we could get scudded again and clearly it’s going to affect the players confidence, Engels being the obvious one today. I know they’re professionals & should be able to pick themselves up etc. but it is a worry. Next time we may not come away with any points never mind all 3.

That's what Champions do. Tuesday was a kick in the fud but I love this squad, thought Cal was excellent.

Job done. Now with the international break we can give some players a wee rest, then reset, get the energy back up and put the sheep in their place on 19 October.

As Alistair Johnston said in that interview, we have the best squad in the division, too good for the rest in the domestic scene. Once CCV is back up and running, we will be back in the groove again.
That was a very important win mentally for Brendan Rodgers and the team going into the international break.
