Tonight, I'll finally get to find out if he's still as good as you all think he is.

 

He’s definitely not one we need to worry about.

 

He's unknown quantity at this level at his current age IMO. I'm definitely not as worried about him as I am about Taylor; but I am a tiny bit worried, mate. But also a bit excited in case he's really still got it.

It could be anything from Forster to DeVries from him tonight as far as I can see.

He's nowhere near on my 'worry' list.

 

I seen him in at the Euros and he was class. Even domestically you can tell he is a level above Hart both with the ball at his feet and making saves.

 

Or maybe I just don't rush to judge based on not much information. He's had exactly 2 saves to make that were saveable but not saves I would expect just any Celtic keeper to make. He made 1 (against Rangers) and not the other (against Falkirk). This isn't much to go on.

At his age, mate. I said that quite explicitly. I'm aware of how good he was (and maybe still is).

He is good with his feet. We agree.
He is still competent when it comes to making saves. We agree.

The only place where we disagree is that I don't know if he is still capable of the kind of saves Boruc and Forster would make to win us big European games. What is even the point in bickering about this when we'll both know one way or the other in a couple of hours?

He had bad games when he was 29. You can't make a sweeping judgement on someone after tonight.

Most of us agree he IS a top keeper and aren't awaiting full time to make our final judgement on him. He will have good and bad games as he has done all his career same as all keepers.

At least I can make a judgement, though. Not necessarily a final judgement or a sweeping judgement but just a judgement. He's had exactly 2 real top-drawer saves to make so far and he made 1 and missed 1.

 

Was he 37 for all of those games?
