A pal of mine has offered me a ticket for Man Utd vs Celtic but it's in the Manure end at Old Trafford...I've never not been in the Celtic end before, is it OK for me to sit in the Manure end? Is it OK to wear my hoops or should I cover up? Will there be other Bhoys in the Man Utd stands? I'm not too sure what the relationship between the clubs and fans is, it seems some love each other and some hate each other... ta

Having read a few posts on a Man Utd forum a while ago, I'd suggest keeping yourself to yourself. A few reports of some guys being shouted at, spat on and kicked at, the stewards ended up moving them into the end for their own safety.. if that happens then it's no so bad I guess, lol. The report from the fans on that post was "well if you're going to behave like that and sing Celtic songs in the home stand, what do you expect?"

I certainly wouldn't be wearing my colours, or would be wearing a jacket over the strip. I'd also not sing any Celtic songs and consider keeping myself reserved if we score.

    That's my opinion..

At the end of the day you're in the home end and are 'supposed' to be a Man Utd fan, so they have every right to feel agreived about a Celtic fan being in their end.

    Your call mate.

Would abvise you to lay low. Not the best idea, friction has been high between the two sets of fans after OT last year.

Sat in the Dundee United end last game of the season. Would not sit in the oppositions end again, they can spot you mile off, was a nightmare. To be honest if a Man Utd fan was sitting beside me at Parkhead i wouldn't be to happy.

I know of people who got harassed in the man U end last time but if I can't get my promised ticket for our end, I might chance it in their end.. but I have been warned against it...

*. Seems like the general consensus is not to risk it then. Anyone got a spare ticket for the Celtic end? :icon_mrgreen:

id strongly suggest you don't risk it mate, as i have said on here a few times a few mates of mines did it in 2006 and it did not go down too well...they went down without tickets at first just to soak up the atmosphere they got talking to a couple of irish man u fans in a pub who had a couple of spare tickets on them and they offered them to my mates at first my mates were like is it safe etc the irish guys replied well your sitting in a pub with celtic tops on in a pub full of man u casuals and the majortiy in here have been shaking your hand and leaving you be so if these guys are not bothered id not see why anyone would at the game...thats the thing you see the man utd fans from manchester and ireland are ok by in large but man u have a wide fan base its the ones from outside manchester the ones who are more prone to being british and proud you have to watch for..anyway at the game within 5 mins my mates were takin some severe daggers to which some man u fans did say to some of them leave the guys be ffs...but these other * were dead set in settin about my mates..they got called jock *.....ira lovers...and were told to * off over there with the other timmy's they were spat at and kicked and the stewards had to move them pronto...so if i were you mate id seriously think about it...what may seem as shaking of hands and friendliness in the pub before the game soon turns to hostility during the game and after it depending on the result. its your call mate av just told you what my mates experienced.

the were taken into the police control room and asked how the had attained tickets for the man u end...they missed most the first half then the cops just said to the stewards just put them into the celtic end its only 2 more bodies and no risk to overcrowding, the basically got a stern telling off told to go enjoy the second half then * off back to scotland right after the game.
