The home game against Hearts he was the best player on the pitch by a mile , one of his best games for us . Been out best player for a few games this season , had a couple of wobbles against Bratislava.

Struggled at points for me with some good moments too. Wasn't a great game for anyone really.

Should've loaned another centre half if we knew he was playing through injury and has a track record of injuries now..

This is why we made a pretty large investment on Trusty. Too give competition and to step up when needed. Why would anyone advocate playing Nawrocki ahead of a guy Rodgers obviously identified and we spent over £6 million on.

Neither Welsh or Trusty set the heather on fire last week but Trusty can be given a bit of leeway as it's his first start. Nawrocki doesn't seem to be in BRs big picture. I think Trusty will start and at £5m+ fully expect him to put in a performance with a more settled defence alongside him.

2 left footed Centre backs just doesn't look right. Think that's why some are mentioning Nawrocki.

Because Trusty is left sided and Nawrocki is right sided. Not really bothered which if them starts, but it's not daft to suggest Nawrocki.

Might have to just let him rest up for a few weeks to fully heal. Could be one of those ones that you're back to square one every time you aggravate it.

Are you expecting Cameron to fly to Germany?

I don't know. I'll know tomorrow. See where he's at. And then we'll go on Monday. And if he's not available then, OK. Auston Trusty came in. I thought he was excellent tonight. You've seen his pace, you've seen his power. He's playing off that right side, but he's got good balance in his game. And I thought he did very, very well. So if Cam's not available, then we have someone that can come straight in.

As I said in the match thread, Brendan doesn’t sound too hopeful. I’d hate for us to go against Dortmund with 2 left footed CB’s.

Don't think it's looking great for CCV making the game midweek :( Gutting for us and for him, he missed some out big games last year too. One of these * stupid injuries that can't really be dealt with except for rest and hope it heals up ok by sound of it.

edit: I'm still 100% behind amputating his big toe.

    It is what it is.

Clearly an inferior team without CCV out of it, but if we have to go in to the game without him then we back whoever comes in.
