That's because the levels of service into him was poor, and with him having to drop deeper earlier in the game too.

Wasn't lighting things up until the service arrived. Which probably says more about our back up wide men than anything.

I'd like to see him get more involved generally but he was there when it mattered. Great finish for the 2nd.

His second goal was beautiful - literally glided through two men and took the finish on the end of the same glide.

    Looked effortless.

:97: Better option than Kyogo? That's reaching mate...

In a few games, when BOTH are fully integrated and at proper match fitness levels, we can make the assessment, but after a few subs appearances and a cup game against lower league opponents is not the benchmark of replacing a genuine talent like Kyogo.

In my opinion, of course, you're free to your own... :60:

His finishing. Do you think that Kyogo would have scored the 5th midweek and the one today, giving the sitters that he is missing this season?

He's shown he'll get important goals for us.

Does Idah score that long range one against the Huns?

I think, and hope, we're starting to see what he's gonna be capable of into the future... Right now he's getting goals at good times, but I hope he's gonna start smashing them in all the time... I reckon he's a 30 goals a season striker in the making... And he's a brilliant alternate to Kyogo against the different setups we'll encounter, with potential to be a truly formidable pair of needed! :celt_2:

They have different attributes but Kyogo is a much more accomplished forward than Idah.. Idah arguably a more natural finisher..

Wasn't great for most of the game but can't complain about two goals in two minutes.

For me hes a better instinctive finisher than Kyogo, he gets a chance he scores.. for now Kyogo is still a better all round player. Hard to compare them to each other in fairness as they are two different types of players, just happy to have 2 strikers of their quality in our squad.

I thought he was invisible for the firs hour.

Just shows that performances change depending on who is around you because he became alive when he was surrounded by better players.

He really stepped up when he started to get his runs picked up or when others were offering to help him.

The drop off in depth in attacking options is frightening. We need two new wingers.

What is apparent with Idah is that he is a big game player. I thought we would've pumped Falkirk and didn't expect us to be down 2-1 at 69 minutes or so, but when we need a goal the big man steps up as he did in moments last night.

It's an excellent dilemma for Brendan to have, having these 2 excellent forwards to try and keep happy.

Do you see Idah spotting some of the run-through plays or slipping along the defensive line like Kyogo does every game? They're apples and oranges in their respective strengths. No problem with that, as it's a Swiss Army Knife thing for us...

I'd definitely prefer starting Kyogo in Europe personally...

I think kyogo is actually better with the instinctive finishes. It's when he has time to think about it e.g. one on one that he struggles.

Idah is better with a bit more time it seems.

The other thing with Kyogo though is that his movement naturally opens up chances for others. So even if he's not on it he drags defenders away.

You could see yesterday that even against Falkirk, he looked a little lost when he was trying to run at their defence 30/40 yards from goal. That doesn't seem to be his game at all..

There was no support and we didn't look like making anything happen during those few bits of play..

Once we were higher up the park with more pace and genuine runners, who were also feeding him....he came alive..

I think he have been very underrated since he came back. He have scored in about every cameo if you count the offside goal that was actually onside. First i was quite worried that the loan spell could be a fluke which is always a risk, but now im very, very confident that he will continue to smash it just like he did last season. Such a brilliant finisher who pop up in front of goal. A player who scores cup winning goals vs the huns. Who scores in the CL and who scores a double in 5 minutes to turn a game around.

Worth every single penny which i was very doubtful in before.
