Feels like we haven't had enough midweek fixtures so far this season. No doubt later on we'll have fixture pileups and games called off because of the weather, and end up with chaos.

It's only because we haven't had to qualify for Europe and we weren't in the early rounds of the league cup. We've played fewer games than anyone else in the league so far.

Yeah, but it would be good if we could/were allowed to make a deal with another club to bring a league fixture forward or something.

    This.

Next year we will have to go through at least some qualifying though, as there is no auto spot for Scotland's co-efficient after this season.

Makes for a pleasant change IMHO. Puts less pressure on the players physically and I think has helped us build up our form as well in this early portion of the season.

There's not a winter break this year due to Europe either

Exactly. We never seem ready to go when we have key European ties to kick off the season. Getting to the end of the window before European fixtures makes a big difference.

    Winter break domestically still though?

Turns out there's no winter break at all this year:

"The Scottish Premiership season began on August 3 and unlike last campaign, there will be no winter break at the halfway stage. The final round of pre-split fixtures takes place on April 12/13, while the regular season ends on May 17/18."
