I'd go with this.. Sinisalo will need to be patient and it would be see what he's about.. I just think if we bring in Valle and Trusty changing the GK too, is a bit risky..

Will be interesting to see what he does.

I'd definitely be resting CCV and AJ for this one. I don't think CCV has looked quite right recently and I suspect he is still carrying a bit of an injury which is hampering him. The trouble is he's such a stabilising presence at the back for us he is hard to rest most of the time, but I think we can afford to here.

Can see a few boys being rested for the game. Falkirk a tidy wee team full of confidence who will give it a go though.

Trusty, Valle, Bernardo, Forest & Idah I can all see starting.

I'd happily watch that team. Although, I'd probably rest CCV and give Scales a place in the xi (he did get MOTM yesterday). I'd also rest Kuhn and give Forrest a start.

We need to give some players a rest and we need to give some game time.

That team should be way more than what Falkirk can handle.

Palma, Holm, Yang, and Turley off the bench, they're in good form this season but we should have far too much for them at home.

    3-0 us.

I wouldn't even mind if we switched out the entire team that started last night. With 5 subs you can make wholesale changes if things aren't going to plan, so resting a lot of players isn't as big a deal as it used to be.

Think Trusty for CCV, Bernardo for Hatate and Idah for Kyogo will be the only changes. Hopefully Valle gets some minutes if we can build up a decent lead as well.

This, calling for wholesale changes is the stuff of FM and if it was done and we suffered a Morton result they'd be getting the pitchforks out (as usual) tbh.

I tend to think your right about CCV. I don't think he is 100% at the moment. Give him a rest and give Trusty his debut start alongside Scales even though thats 2 left footed center backs. Also for sure I would start Ralston and give Johnston a rest as well.

I think we will see changes but it won't be a whole different team. I thing Ralston and Trusty will likely play instead of Johnston and CCV. I think Bernardo will play in place of either Engels or Hatate and maybe up front we make more changes with maybe Idah and Forrest both getting starts instead of Kuhn and Kyogo.

Think it will be a case of any of the main group needing a rest will get one, but if there's no issues then changes will be minimal.

Certainly CCV is a candidate as he's already been given extra recovery time, if there's even the slightest hint he needs managed just now then don't hesitate to let him sit it out. If he does then AJ needs to play as I think one of the back 5 should be rested at any one time.

Would love big Idah to get a start, get a right good run about and hopefully a couple of goals. Also McCowan on from the start.

    So:

    Schmeichel
    AJ
    Trusty
    Scales
    Taylor
    Cal
    McCowan
    Bernardo
    Kühn
    Idah
    Daizen

    Buzzing for it already!

I think this is a very pragmatic call tbh, with Valle included too (whichever side tbc, possibly right as AJ looked tired towards the end).

With McCowan Cup Tied, our midfield is going to be very strong again..

Shame, I wanted to see McCowan from the start.

Same could be said for playing Engels or CCV in this and they break their ankle or pull a hamstring in a game that I don't feel they need to play in from the start, then miss BVB and Atalanta.

We have added to the squad for a reason. Should at least be using some of it in games like this.

That'll depend on what number wholesale changes start at, for me 1, 2 or 3 players isnt really that but some seem to want basically the whole starting 11 rested. As JC, i think, said get it won and then sub off as many as possible in the second half and do that consistently in all games over the season.
True, they could break an ankle but they could also break an ankle in training and I doubt anyone wants them to be excused from training.

As much as we all want to see Valle, I think it's a priority to rest AJ (given his recent injury) and CCV (he must be carrying something, surely) and that limits the number of changes we can make. I certainly think Taylor has to start. For me:

    Schmeichel
    Ralston
    Trusty
    Scales
    Taylor
    McGregor
    Engels
    Hatate
    Kuhn
    Idah
    Maeda

Get Engels, McGregor and Kuhn off for Bernardo, McCowan Holm and Forrest as soon as the game is won.

Edit: just saw the thread about McCowan being cuptied.

Think we can get away with a fair whack of changes considering who the alternatives are

    Schmeichel
    Ralston Trusty Scales Valle
    McGregor
    Bernardo Hatate
    Forrest Idah Palma

still gives us a ridiculously strong spine with Kasper, Ralston and Scales at the back and the front six being guys who were crucial in getting us the double last year.

Can't see Trusty and Valle not starting this, likewise Bernardo and the front three will be chomping at the bit for a start. Would love to see Sinisalo get a start but probably too risky if your giving two other guys their debut at the back.

Then all things going well give Welsh, Holm, Turley and Yang some minutes to impress.
